A different password for every site, with none to remember
The office spreadsheet of passwords and the same password used everywhere come from a real problem: there are too many. Kamzan Pass keeps them in one place, creates new ones when needed and tells you which are weak or reused.
Everything that lives on a sticky note today
At Officina Ferrero the login to the parts portal is on a scrap of paper, the POS PIN in a message, the online banking password in one person’s head. In Kamzan Pass each of these is an entry: a login with username, password and address, a secure note or a card. The vault is the encrypted container that keeps it, and it opens with your master password, in your browser.
How it works
-
You add the entry
“New entry”, choose the type and write the name, username and address. If you belong to a shared vault, you also decide where to save it.
-
You generate the password
Next to the field there is “Generate”: choose the length and characters and use the one proposed. It is created in the browser and never reaches the server as plain text.
-
You find it and copy it
You search by name, username or address, open the entry and press “Copy”. After a few seconds the clipboard is cleared; if the browser does not allow it, at your next click on the page.
Long passwords, all different, and just one to remember
What you can do
-
Logins, notes and cards
Three entry types for what ends up in the wrong places at the office. With additional fields you can also keep a customer number or a PIN, masked if you mark it as hidden.
-
The generator
From 8 to 64 characters, with your choice of uppercase, lowercase, digits and symbols, and without look-alike characters such as 0 and O. It is in the entry form and in the left menu.
-
Verification codes (TOTP)
You paste the key the site gives you, the otpauth:// address or an image of the QR code: from then on the entry shows the code, which changes on its own.
-
Warnings that stay on the device
Weak, Reused, Old: your device computes the marks on the rows. They are not saved and do not go to the server, because the server does not read entries.
-
History and trash
Each entry keeps its previous versions, and you can restore one with a click. From the trash you can restore until the period set by your company runs out.
-
An entry that asks for the password again
For the most sensitive entries you can ask for the master password before showing them. It protects against someone who finds the computer unlocked, not against a colleague you share the vault with.
Frequently asked questions
What can I save in Kamzan Pass?
Logins with username, password, addresses and TOTP codes, secure notes, and cards with holder, number, expiry, security code and PIN. Each entry can have labels and additional fields; in a shared vault, all members see the labels.
Does search go through the server?
No. Names, usernames, addresses and notes reach the server only encrypted, so search happens on your device, with the vault unlocked. It looks in the name, username, addresses, notes and labels.
What if I delete an entry by mistake?
It goes to the trash, and from there you put it back with “Restore”. After the time set by your company the content is removed and can no longer be recovered; the same applies at once if you choose “Delete permanently”.
Are passwords filled in automatically on sites?
The browser extension does that, with limits we describe on its page: it has been tested on the first step of a login, not yet in every case. From the web vault you copy username, password and code with a click.
The other Kamzan Pass features
Want to see it before it arrives?
We show you Kamzan Pass on a test vault: how a password is shared, what happens when someone leaves the company and what the server doesn’t see. Half an hour, no strings attached.
