Going out on social
The profile belongs to the person. So does the calendar.
The company post goes out on the page, and then someone writes in the chat “everyone please reshare”. Half of them forget, the other half reshare it without a word. In kSocial, anyone with the privilege has a personal profile: they connect their LinkedIn, schedule their own posts, choose who can write for them and reshare project posts with a comment of their own.
A space of their own, outside the projects
A personal profile has calendar, posts, editor and scheduling like a project, but it lives in the “Personal profiles” section and only the owner and the people they chose can enter. A company administrator cannot see it and cannot add anyone. The connection goes through the person’s own LinkedIn login: posts go out in the name of whoever gave consent, never anyone else. Today the network you can connect is LinkedIn. The section is there with the “Social publishing” extension, for anyone with the “Personal profile” privilege on their user type.
How it works
-
Create the profile and connect LinkedIn
From “Personal profiles” you create your profile and in its settings connect LinkedIn with your own login. Disconnecting it deletes nothing: calendar and posts stay where they are.
-
Choose who writes for you
Under Delegates you add whoever works on your profile, from Reader to Reviewer. An Editor writes your posts and sends them for review; a Reviewer can also approve and schedule them.
-
Schedule or reshare
Write a post of your own, or press “Reshare”: pick a post that has already gone out, write your comment and set the date. A new post goes out, with the original framed beneath it.
On your profile, you decide who writes.
What you can do
-
Reshare even from projects you are not in
The list shows the posts kSocial has published across the company, including projects you are not part of: it is content that is already public. You search by title or text, and a mark tells you if you have already reshared it. The button is in the projects too, to reshare from a connected company page.
-
Your comment on top, not a bare copy
A reshare goes out on a single channel, with your comment above the original. kSocial reminds you that without a comment LinkedIn shows it to very few people.
-
Automatically, with the AI Assistant
With the “AI Assistant” extension, a rule says which project channels and content pillars trigger a reshare on your profile. When a post goes out there, the AI drafts the comment and the reshare goes on the calendar after the delay you chose, from 1 to 48 hours.
-
Time to stop it
You get a notification and an email with the time it will go out, and until then you edit the text or stop it. If the original is removed, the reshare stops by itself; if the original changes, it warns you to check the comment again.
-
The switch starts off
Off, the automatic reshare is prepared with text and time but waits for you to schedule it. On, it goes out by itself at that time, as long as the preview flags no problems. Only the profile’s owner changes rules and switch.
-
“Published”, said honestly
LinkedIn does not allow reading back a personal profile’s posts without a permission kSocial does not ask for. For these posts kSocial says so: the network accepted the post, but only a look at the profile confirms it is visible.
In depth
-
Social publishing
The post was approved on Tuesday but has to go out on Friday at 9: someone has to remember, open LinkedIn, paste the text, upload the images and then come back to kSocial to paste the link. With Social publishing you connect the account that manages the pages once, and the post leaves by itself at the time on the calendar.
-
Social analytics
At the start of the month someone opens LinkedIn, takes screenshots, copies the numbers into a presentation and sends it to the client, who asks “and compared with last month?”. Social analytics reads the numbers of the connected pages and puts them in the project: you browse them by period, download them as a PDF and send them to the client with a link, without them needing an account.
Frequently asked questions
Can the company administrator see my personal profile?
No. Only the owner and the delegates they chose can enter the profile. Being an administrator gives no access to the calendar, does not allow adding delegates and does not allow connecting someone else’s profile. The administrator only decides who can have a profile, through the privilege on the user type.
Does automatic resharing work without AI?
No: the AI drafts the comment, so it exists only with the “AI Assistant” extension switched on. Without it you still have your own posts and manual resharing. If the AI cannot draft the text, the reshare is created anyway but does not go out: you write it and schedule it.
Which posts can be reshared?
The ones kSocial has published on LinkedIn, from a connected page or profile. A post published by hand and then marked as published has no reference on the network, so it does not appear. An automatic rule only fires on the channels and pillars it names: a post without a pillar does not trigger it.
