kSocial extension

The monthly report to the client, without copying a single number.

At the start of the month someone opens LinkedIn, takes screenshots, copies the numbers into a presentation and sends it to the client, who asks “and compared with last month?”. Social analytics reads the numbers of the connected pages and puts them in the project: you browse them by period, download them as a PDF and send them to the client with a link, without them needing an account.

The whole page, not just the posts created here

The report looks at the whole LinkedIn page, including posts published by hand outside kSocial. The numbers update themselves several times a day, and “Refresh now” reads them again immediately. One thing should be said clearly: networks give today’s totals, not a month-by-month history, and kSocial keeps snapshots from the moment the page is connected. That is why the first period is partial, and the report says so in the “Good to know” section. It requires the Social publishing extension, because that is where the page is connected. Today: LinkedIn company pages.

How it works

  1. Connect the page

With Social publishing, the project’s LinkedIn channel is linked to its company page. From that moment kSocial starts collecting the numbers.

  2. Choose channel and period

In the project’s Analytics tab, choose the channel and the period: last month, the last 30 days or any range you like. Each figure comes with the comparison to the previous period.

  3. Send it to the client

“Send to client” creates a link to that period’s report, frozen: link name, optional password and expiry date, a couple of lines for the client. Or “Download PDF”.

The monthly report gets sent, not rebuilt.

What you can do

  • Every post with its numbers

Impressions, people reached, clicks, reactions, comments, shares and engagement rate, with the link to open it on LinkedIn. The best-performing posts are highlighted.

  • Followers: how many and who

Follower trend day by day, page visits, and who the followers are by country, industry, seniority, job function and company size.

  • When to post

Average impressions by day and time slot, across the posts published in the period. With too few posts it says so instead of drawing conclusions.

  • A report that does not shift

The link carries the report frozen as it was when it was created: “September” says the same thing even when opened in December. The client opens it without an account and can download the PDF too.

  • Links under control

The list of links sent shows how many times each one has been opened. A link can be revoked at any time and stays in the list, so you can see it existed.

  • Only for those who need to see them

The Analytics tab opens for people with the “Analytics” privilege in their user type, in the projects they are assigned to. A guest client does not see it: someone sends them the report.

Frequently asked questions

Which social networks does it measure?

Today, connected LinkedIn company pages. Personal profiles and other networks do not have numbers yet, and the tab says so channel by channel; newsletters, blogs and events, which are not social networks, do not appear.

Why is the first month incomplete?

Because LinkedIn does not provide numbers retroactively: a month’s figure is the difference between two snapshots, and kSocial takes them from the moment the page is connected. From the second month the comparison is complete.

Does the client need an account?

No. They receive a link and open it in the browser, even on a phone; if you set a password, they enter it there. It is best to give it to them by voice or through another channel, not in the same email as the link.
