kSocial extension
Ideas for your social channels come from the whole company, into one place.
The sales rep saw something at a trade fair, the client has an anniversary to tell, a colleague has just the right photo: ideas arrive in chats, by word of mouth, in a forwarded email, and half are lost before they become a post. The Idea collection form is a page with a link you send to whoever you like, even without an account: whoever fills it in suggests a post, and the suggestion enters the project as an “Idea”, ready to be evaluated.
A form with your brand that writes straight into the plan
Inside a project section you create a Form view, and in it one or more forms: each has a name, an opening text and the fields it asks for. The title is always there; you can add the text of the idea, the channel (among the project’s active ones), a useful link and the section’s own fields — text, choice, date, number, checkbox. Whoever opens the link sees the form with your company’s logo and colours, writes and sends: the suggestion becomes a post with status “Idea” in the section and from there follows the same path as all the others, from draft to approval. After sending, they can suggest another without reopening the link.
How it works
-
Set up the form
In the Form view, “New form”: a name, a couple of lines of invitation and the fields to ask for. Everything can be changed later too.
-
Send the link
Copy the link and send it to colleagues, clients, the sales network. It opens in the browser, no account needed.
-
Evaluate the ideas
Suggestions arrive as posts with status “Idea” in the section: the good ones move on to draft, the others are cancelled.
An idea written in the form does not get lost in a chat.
What you can do
-
Several forms, each for its audience
One for staff, one for the client, one for resellers: each with its own name, invitation and fields.
-
The fields you need
Besides title, text, channel and link, the section’s custom fields: the product concerned, the event date, the office.
-
With your brand
Your company’s logo and colours at the top of the page, and below them the name of the project the idea will go into.
-
No account to create
Whoever suggests does not enter kSocial and does not see the plan: they only see the form. A title or a couple of lines of text is enough to send.
-
On, off, regenerated
A form can be switched off at the end of a campaign and on again when needed; if the link ends up where it should not, “New address” closes the old one.
-
Enters the plan as an idea
No copying and pasting: the suggestion is already a post, with channel and fields filled in, ready to be picked up as a draft.
Frequently asked questions
Does whoever fills in the form see the editorial plan?
No. They only see the form, with the name of the project and section the suggestion will go into, and the channels to choose from if the form asks for them. Nothing else.
Can images be attached to the form?
No, the form currently collects text, choices and a link: anyone with a photo can say where to find it in the link field. Images are added to the post when the idea moves into production.
How do you prevent abuse?
Each network address has a limit of submissions per minute, and the form is managed from inside: whoever manages projects can switch it off, give it a new address or delete it at any time.
