Everything kTalk does, page by page
Every feature has its own page: what it does, how it works, what you can do, the most frequent questions. Deep dives sit under the feature they belong to.
kTalk overview
Talking
-
Messages and groups
Direct messages and groups
Message a colleague, open a group for the client or the site, invite whoever you need with a link. You see who has read, who is typing and who is online, and the conversation stays in the company’s space.
-
Channels and topics
Channels and topics
A channel is the company noticeboard: administrators and moderators write, everyone else reads. Topics split a group or a channel by subject, like a small forum, so each discussion has its own place.
-
Messages
Writing and organising messages
A reply quoting the right message, a mention reaching the right person, a correction that does not erase the past. And when you need to find Tuesday’s quote again, you pin it or search for it.
Doing more in the chat
-
Polls and timing
Polls, scheduled and disappearing messages
The poll ends the discussion about the meeting date. The scheduled message reminds everyone to log their hours every Friday at 4 pm, even if nobody thinks of it. Disappearing messages delete on their own what is needed for a day and not forever.
-
Attachments, voice, documents
Files, voice and Kamzan Files
The quote to show in a hurry, the photo from the site, the voice note while you drive: in kTalk they all go through the same conversation, encrypted, without ending up in a personal phone’s gallery. And when a document matters, it is already in Files.
-
Calls
Calls with kMeeting
Ten messages to agree on a quote can be settled in two minutes of talking. In kTalk you press “Start call” in the conversation: it rings for your colleagues, and whoever accepts joins an end-to-end encrypted kMeeting room, open only to the people in the conversation.
Security and control
-
Encryption
Security and encryption
By default every kTalk message is encrypted on the server with your company’s key: it can be searched, exported and found on every device. If you need more, the end-to-end extension makes new conversations readable only by the devices of the people taking part.
-
Administration
Company control
In a work WhatsApp group the company decides nothing: not who joins, not how long messages stay, not what happens when someone leaves. In kTalk it does: retention, permissions, limits and export are set from the panel, and apply to everyone.
