Klokka extension
All the jobs. The worrying one, at the top.
Hours live in Klokka; plans, deliveries and tasks in Projekta. This extension puts them in a single table: for each job how much was planned, how much has been logged, what is missing, and why the light is yellow or red.
The status light also says why
A red dot with no explanation only causes anxiety. Next to the light the table writes the reason — milestone missed or approaching, overdue tasks, hours over or near the estimate, plan drift, open issues — and, if the light was set manually, it says so with its reason. Klokka does not calculate these figures: it asks Projekta for them, which is why the extension only works if Projekta is active for the company. Without it, hours per project stay in Klokka’s reports and job status in Projekta: two places to look.
How it works
-
Open “Jobs”
From Klokka’s menu. By default you see the jobs “In progress”; with “All, including completed and archived” you look at the closed ones too.
-
Narrow by client or manager
Two filters, client and manager, for a meeting with a client or a check-in with a project lead.
-
Open the job
A click on the row takes you to the project page in Klokka, with its hours, its people and its figures.
The worrying job first. The others can wait.
What you can do
-
Planned, logged, left
Estimated hours next to logged ones, with the percentage used. When you go over, the column says so: “+12 h over”.
-
Next delivery
The next milestone with its date, flagged when it is already late.
-
Overdue tasks and missing documents
How many tasks are past their deadline and how many expected documents have not yet arrived, job by job.
-
End date
The planned end of each job, highlighted when it has passed and the work is still open.
-
Only the projects you can see
Anyone who cannot see a project in Klokka will not find it here either: the table follows the visibility already in force across the product.
Frequently asked questions
Is Projekta required?
Yes: plans, estimates, deliveries and tasks come from there, so Projekta must be active for the company. The person looking at the table does not need to use it, though: jobs are read from Klokka. If Projekta does not respond, the page says so instead of showing half the figures.
Who sees the jobs table?
Administrators and whoever has the “Reports on every user” privilege, because it shows the whole team’s hours. Each person sees only the projects they already see in Klokka.
Is it the same as margin?
No. Margin tells you how much a job earns in euros; this table tells you whether it is on time and within the planned hours. No amounts appear here: you look at both, not one instead of the other.
