Free timesheet template in Excel: download the weekly version
A ready-to-use timesheet: one row per job, one column per day and totals that calculate themselves. Excel to fill in or PDF to print, free and no sign-up needed.
What the timesheet includes
Up to 12 rows per week, each with client, project, task, the hours for all seven days and space for notes. Enter the Monday of the week and the dates fill in on their own; if the date is not a Monday, the sheet flags it. At the bottom you see the total for each day and for the week. The PDF is the blank version, to print and fill in by hand.
How it works
-
Enter your name and the week
Enter the person and the Monday of the week in the yellow cells: the dates for all seven days update on their own.
-
One row per job
Overwrite the example row with client, project and task, then enter the hours on the day you worked them.
-
Check the totals
The total for each row, each day and the week calculates itself. For the next week, duplicate the sheet and change the date.
A week of work in one table.
What you can do
-
Hours by project
Each row links hours to a client, project and task, so you know where the time went.
-
Automatic totals
Rows, days and the week add up on their own, half hours included.
-
Ready to print
The sheet fits one landscape A4 page; the PDF is already blank if you prefer to fill it in by hand.
When the spreadsheet is no longer enough
A timesheet in Excel works while only a few people fill it in. When you have to collect one file per person, add them up by hand and work out how profitable a project was, Klokka puts everyone’s hours in one place, with approval, reports and exports.
