AI search
Ask your address book the way you would ask a colleague
“Find all contacts in Milan”, “clients in the North address book”, “who has an @rossipartner.it email”. Write the question in your own words and Kontacts shows you the list, with no filters to build.
The AI works on the question, not on your data
A company address book is full of personal data, and sending it to an outside service so an AI can read it is not an option. So Kontacts does the opposite: to the AI model your company has configured it sends only your question and the structure of the address book — which fields exist, not what they contain. The model turns the question into a search, and that search runs inside Kontacts read-only, only in the address books you can see. The contacts found come back to you, not to the model.
How it works
-
Write the question
Open “AI search…” and write the way you talk: a city, a company, a role, an email domain, a category, the name of an address book. Several at once, too.
-
The model prepares the search
Your company’s AI model receives the question and the list of address book fields, nothing else. It returns the search to run, which Kontacts checks before executing it.
-
You see the contacts found
The search runs read-only in the address books you can see and the results appear in the usual table, with a count. One click and you are on the contact’s card.
The question goes to the model. The contacts stay home.
What you can do
-
Questions, not filters
“Studio Morelli’s contacts”, “who works in accounts”, “suppliers in Brescia”: Kontacts understands names, companies, cities, roles, email domains and categories without you knowing which field they are in.
-
Only the question goes to the model
The model receives your question and the structure of the address book, meaning the field names. Your contacts’ names, numbers, emails and notes do not leave Kontacts.
-
Read-only, always
The search prepared by the model can only read: it cannot change or delete anything. Kontacts checks it before running it and stops it if it tries to do anything else.
-
Only the address books you can see
AI search respects the same permissions as the address book: it looks in your address books and those shared with you, never in colleagues’ books that are not yours to see.
-
Your company chooses the model
AI search uses the model and key your company sets in the Kamzan settings. Until a model is configured, AI search does not run: no service chosen by someone else on your behalf.
-
The administrator decides who uses it
AI search is a user-type privilege: switch it on for those who need it and leave it off for the others. You find it on a computer, where the wide screen lets you read the results comfortably.
Frequently asked questions
Does the AI read my contacts?
No. The model receives your question and the structure of the address book, meaning which fields exist. It returns a search, Kontacts runs it internally and only you see the results. Keep in mind that the question itself goes to the model: if you type a name in the question, it reads that name.
Which AI model does Kontacts use?
The one your company chooses, with its own key, in the Kamzan settings. Without a configured model AI search is not available, and the regular search keeps working as always.
Can I use it on my phone?
No, AI search is available on a computer. On the phone you have the regular search, which looks at name, email, phone, company, function, website and city.
How many results does it return?
Up to a hundred contacts per question, with the count at the top. If there are more, make the question more precise: add the city, the category or the address book name.
