Everywhere in Kamzan

One address book, and you find it in every app where you need an address

You invite to a meeting, send an email, share a folder, request a signature: every time you type a recipient, Kontacts suggests contacts from your address books. No addresses copied from another window, no typos.

Every app with its own address book means a wrong address book

When mail, calendar, file sharing and signatures each keep their own contacts, the same client has four different addresses and nobody knows which one is right. In Kamzan there is one address book: fix it in Kontacts and the fix applies everywhere, from the next invitation to the next signature.

How it works

  1. Start typing

In Kalendo’s attendee field, kMail’s recipient, Files’ share by email or kSign’s signers, you type the first letters of a name, an email or a company.

  2. Pick from the suggestion

Kontacts suggests matching contacts, with name and company next to the address, so you can tell Luca Ferrari of Ferrari Design from a namesake. One click and the recipient is in.

  3. Search without switching apps

Just need a number? Open the “Contacts in other apps” panel, search, and copy the email or phone with one tap, staying where you are.

Fix an address once, and it holds in every app.

What you can do

  • Suggestions wherever you type addresses

Attendees in Kalendo and kMeeting, recipients in kMail, shares and PDF sending in Files, signers in kSign, recipients in kCompliance and kMonitor, collaborators in training, participants in Flow: it is the same address book.

  • Who is writing, next to the message

In kMail the contact sidebar shows the card of whoever wrote to you, taken from Kontacts: company, phone and the latest emails exchanged, without opening another window.

  • Contacts in other apps

A panel available in every app in the ecosystem: you search for a contact and copy their email or phone with one tap. Anyone who doesn’t use it switches it off in their own Preferences.

  • Only what you can already see

Suggestions and searches only look in the address books you can access in Kontacts: your own, those shared with you and the system ones of the apps you use. Colleagues’ personal address books stay theirs.

  • From the browser, the phone, Desktop

Kontacts opens in the browser and adapts to the phone’s screen; with Kamzan Desktop you use it like a Windows or macOS app. On the phone, contacts also reach the Contacts app, via CardDAV.

  • In your language, with your brand

The interface is available in seven languages: Italian, English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese and Portuguese. Everyone picks their own, and the app carries your company’s logo and colours.

Frequently asked questions

Do suggestions also show colleagues’ contacts?

Only those in address books a colleague has shared with you. Each app searches with your credentials, so you see exactly what you would see by opening Kontacts, no more and no less.

If I change an address in Kontacts, do the other apps notice?

Yes, straight away: the apps keep no copy of the address book, they query it every time you type. The next suggestion already shows the correct address.

Is there a Kontacts app for the phone?

There is no need: contacts reach the phone’s Contacts app via CardDAV, and Kontacts in the phone’s browser adapts to the small screen. On the computer there is also Kamzan Desktop, for Windows and macOS.

Does Kontacts connect to the CRM too?

Not today. Kontacts serves the apps where you type recipients, attendees and signers: Kalendo, kMeeting, kMail, Files, Flow, kSign, kCompliance, kMonitor and training. The CRM keeps its own customer records.
