Simple electronic signature

A link by email, a code on the phone: the contract is signed

Your client installs nothing and creates no account. They open the link, read the document, confirm with the code that arrives by SMS and sign — from their phone too, even between two meetings.

Signing should not be where you lose the client

Printing, signing, scanning and sending back takes days, and every extra day is a chance to change one’s mind. With kSign the signature reaches the client where they already are — their inbox — and is done in minutes. Meanwhile kSign gathers what you will need if the signature is ever challenged: who received the link, which number the code went to, when and from which IP address it was signed.

How it works

  1. You send the document

Upload the PDF, enter the signer’s name, email and mobile number and choose confirmation by SMS code. kSign sends the invitation by email, with the personal signing link.

  2. The signer reads and confirms

They open the link on phone or computer, scroll the document to the end and request the code: six digits, valid for ten minutes, sent only to the number on file.

  3. They sign, and everyone gets the copy

They accept the signing statement and the data processing notice, and sign. The PDF gets the box with name, email, UTC timestamp and IP address; the signed document arrives by email.

To sign, your client does not need to come to you. The phone in their pocket is enough.

What you can do

  • No app, no account

The signing page opens in the browser: on a computer document and actions sit side by side, on a phone it adapts to the screen. The client has no password to remember.

  • The code goes only to the phone

SMS messages are sent by the Kamzan platform and, if one fails, kSign does not fall back to email: the proof lies precisely in owning the phone. If the signer corrects the number, the code already sent is cancelled.

  • Read first, then sign

The sign button only activates once the document has been scrolled to the end, required fields are filled and the statement and privacy notice accepted. While something is missing, the page says exactly what.

  • A refusal is an answer

If something does not add up, the signer can refuse and write the reason. You get the email and find the reason in the request, instead of waiting for a signature that will never come.

  • Back to your website

You can set an address to take the signer to after signing: the customer area, the welcome page, the next step of onboarding.

  • A box that says who signed

No scribbles imitating a handwritten signature: the document carries a blue-bordered box with name, email, timestamp and IP, as in digital signatures. Document fingerprint and legal references are in the signature certificate.

Frequently asked questions

What legal value does the simple signature have?

Under the eIDAS regulation (art. 25) it cannot be denied legal effect in court merely because it is electronic; under Italian law (CAD, art. 20, para. 1-bis) the judge assesses it on security, integrity and unalterability. That is why kSign backs every signature with evidence: SMS code, event log, certificate. When you need more, there is the advanced signature with CIE.

Does the signer have to register or download an app?

No. They need the inbox the invitation goes to and the mobile phone that receives the code. Everything else happens in the browser, on computer or phone.

What if the code does not arrive or the number is wrong?

The signer can request a new one. If the number is wrong they correct it on the signing page: the previous code is cancelled and a new one goes to the right number. Each code lasts ten minutes and allows three attempts.

Can the code be sent by email instead of SMS?

No, and on purpose. The signing link already arrives by email: a code in the same inbox would prove nothing more. For new requests identity is confirmed with an SMS code or with the CIE.

Which signer data end up on the document?

The box holds only name, email, signing time in UTC and IP address. The rest — document fingerprint, request reference, legal references — is in the signature certificate. The IP stays in the log: kSign does not send it to external services to derive a location.
