Setting the requirements
Not just how many hours. On which subjects.
Reaching the hours is not enough if all thirty are IT and the legal area is still empty. The training plan says, person by person, how many hours are needed in each area or module; every course recorded is assigned to a plan item, and the collaborator’s status is that of the item furthest behind.
Sectors, subject areas, modules: the map of subjects is already there
Subjects are organised on three levels: sector, subject area, module. The Insurance sector arrives loaded and active: five areas and thirty-nine modules modelled on the training requirements that the Italian insurance regulator IVASS sets for intermediaries, from the insurance contract to anti-money laundering. From the catalogue you add the chartered accountants’ sector, with the areas and subjects of the continuing professional education list of the CNDCEC, the Italian accountants’ national council. Everything stays editable, and you can build a sector from scratch. Only one is active at a time: it is the one plans draw from. Each person’s plan applies to one training year and combines items of two kinds, a whole area or a specific module, each with its hours; below, the total is compared with the type’s hours and tells you how many are missing.
How it works
-
Choose the sector
Keep the ready-made Insurance sector, add the chartered accountants from the catalogue or build your own areas and modules. One click on “Activate” decides which sector feeds the plans.
-
Write the plan or apply a template
Add the items with their hours, or pick a template and the plan fills itself in. A plan that works becomes a template with “Save as template”, and Formatika warns you if one with the same items already exists.
-
Assign each course to an item
When you record a course you choose which plan item it corresponds to, in the “Training attribution” field. If it has nothing to do with the plan you mark it as “Other (outside the plan)”: its hours stay in the register but cover no item.
Thirty hours of IT do not cover the legal area.
What you can do
-
The insurance sector, ready to go
Contracts and products, legal, technical, administrative and management, IT: the areas arrive with their modules when Formatika is activated, with no need to copy them from a circular.
-
Chartered accountants from the catalogue
One click on “Add from catalogue” brings in the continuing education subjects with their codes, the same ones under which training events are accredited. The catalogue flags sectors already present.
-
Whole area or specific module
For one area you ask for general hours and any module counts; for another you spread them module by module. For the same area you pick one or the other, so no hour is counted twice.
-
Reusable templates
The agents’ “basic plan” is written once and applied to every newcomer. Changing or deleting a template does not touch the plans already assigned.
-
Who has a plan, at a glance
In the collaborator list the plan icon changes: dashed if there is none, orange if the planned hours fall short of the required hours, green if they cover them.
-
The status looks at the item furthest behind
With a plan, being on track means being so on every item, in proportion to the year gone by. Hours outside the plan appear separately on the record, so you see at once what is not counting.
Frequently asked questions
Is the training plan mandatory?
No. Without a plan the status is calculated on total hours against the type’s required hours. The plan is for when the requirement also concerns subjects: from then on the status is measured item by item.
Our sector is not in the catalogue: what do we do?
You create your own sector in the Sectors section, with the subject areas and modules you need, and activate it. You can keep more than one, but plans always draw from the active one.
Does the plan carry over from one year to the next?
No: each plan applies to its own training year. For the new year you fill it in again in one step by applying a template.
