Certificates
The certificate fills itself in, in your own design
You design the template once, with logo, signatures and the fields you need. Name, course, date and attendance are filled in by kLearning for each participant: no PDFs filled in by hand at the end of the course.
Thirty-two certificates, an afternoon lost
When “Excel for the office” ended, Studio Morelli copied the names from the sign-in sheet into a document, changed the date and exported a PDF, thirty-two times. With kLearning the template already has the logo and signature: after the lesson the trainer generates the certificates from the classroom with one click, for everyone, each with their own name and attendance.
How it works
-
Pick or design the template
Start from one of the three ready-made templates, Classic, Modern or Minimal, or from a blank page. Add text, logo, signatures, lines and frames, and check the result with “Preview”.
-
Link the variable fields
Instead of fixed text, insert a variable: participant name, course title, date, duration, attendance percentage, company name, certificate ID. A prefix and suffix complete the sentence.
-
Generate them after the lesson
Once the online session is over, the trainer picks the template in the classroom panel and presses “Generate certificates”: kLearning creates a PDF for each participant, ready to download.
From sign-in sheet to certificate, with no hand-made PDFs.
What you can do
-
A real design editor
Text with font, size, colour and alignment; images such as logos and scanned signatures; lines and rectangles for frames and dividers. Landscape or portrait page, background colour, lockable elements, undo and redo.
-
Eleven ready variables
Participant name and email, course or session title, session date, duration in minutes, attendance percentage, presence checks passed and total, company name, current date, certificate ID.
-
Several templates, one for each occasion
Keep one template for in-house training and one for each client, with its logo, and duplicate them to start from an existing one. When generating the certificates, the trainer chooses which to use.
-
Attendance printed on the certificate
With the “Attendance (%)” variable each certificate shows that participant’s share of time in class, taken from the session register, and if you like the presence checks passed out of the total too. Nobody copies it by hand.
-
From the classroom, for everyone present
After a live session the trainer picks the template and generates every participant’s certificate in one go. Next to each name they see the attendance percentage and the checks passed, and anyone who already has a certificate does not get a second one.
-
Every certificate has its fingerprint
At the moment of issue kLearning records the PDF’s digital fingerprint, alongside the ID you can print on the certificate. If anyone edits the file, the fingerprint no longer matches the one on record.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add our logo and the director’s signature?
Yes: the logo and a scanned signature are added as images, placed wherever you like and locked so they do not move by accident. They apply to every certificate issued with that template.
Does the attendance percentage appear on the certificate?
If you want it to, yes: insert the “Attendance (%)” variable and, if needed, the presence checks passed out of the total too. For live sessions the values come from the classroom register.
Can trainers edit the templates?
Not by default: trainers issue certificates with the templates the administrator has prepared, so the design stays the approved one. If your organisation needs it, the permission can be granted by editing the Trainer user type.
If I generate a session’s certificates again, are they duplicated?
No. Anyone who already has a certificate for that session is skipped; kLearning creates only the missing ones and tells you how many it generated.
