Attendance
Who was there, how long they stayed, how far they have got
Attendance at live lessons is recorded on its own, with entry and exit times. For each course you get the picture of who is keeping up and who has fallen behind, and for each session the files to hand to the client or the HR office.
“Can you send me the sign-in sheet?”
Ferrari Design sent twelve people to Studio Morelli’s course and now asks who was there and for how long. Before, that meant finding the sheet, scanning it and adding up late arrivals. With kLearning you open the session archive and download the attendance register: entries, exits and duration, person by person.
How it works
-
The lesson records itself
During the live session kLearning notes when each person joins and leaves, how long they stay connected and how they take part. Nobody has to pass round a sheet or take a roll call.
-
The course shows where they are
In the course’s “Progress” tab, for each participant: sessions attended out of the total, average attendance and total minutes. At the top, the sessions already held and the course’s completion status.
-
The session goes to the archive
Every completed session appears in “Session archive”, with the participant list, attendance register and report as CSV, and the recording to watch again or download.
The lesson fills in the sign-in sheet.
What you can do
-
A register that cannot be touched up
Every entry and exit has a time, an IP address and its own fingerprint, and the exit fingerprint is linked to the entry one. The attendance register CSV carries all of this with it.
-
The participation report
Beyond attendance, the training report shows how long each person had their microphone and camera on, how long they spoke, how many messages and files they shared and how many times they disconnected.
-
Progress per course
Sessions attended, average attendance and minutes, person by person, across the whole course rather than a single lesson. Anyone who missed two meetings out of five stands out at a glance.
-
An archive for every session
Completed live sessions are listed by date and can be searched by title. For each one you have three CSV files and the recording, which you can watch on the page or download.
-
Notifications for managers
When a participant fills in the end-of-lesson feedback form, the bell of the course creator and the administrators shows “New feedback”. Notifications can be filtered by app and by unread.
-
The overview on the Dashboard
Active, completed and draft courses, certificate templates and the latest courses you worked on, as soon as you log in. A tutor, for example the person following training in the HR office, sees progress read-only.
Frequently asked questions
Does the attendance register also cover lessons in a physical classroom?
No: entries, exits, minutes and reports are collected in online sessions, inside the kMeeting classroom. In-person sessions stay in the course calendar and are marked as completed.
Can I hand the register to the client who paid for the course?
Yes: the attendance register and report download as CSV from the session archive and open in any spreadsheet. You send them yourself, however you prefer.
Do learners receive progress notifications?
No, bell notifications are for course managers. Learners receive invitation emails and session reminders, and they see their own progress on the course page and in “Results”.
Who can see everyone’s progress?
By default administrators, trainers and tutors; tutors see it without being able to change anything. Learners see only their own. User types can be adapted to your organisation.
