The week’s plan in rows you can read out in a meeting.
On Monday morning the editorial plan gets reviewed in a meeting: a spreadsheet makes you scroll sideways, a calendar makes you open posts one at a time. The List view puts one post per row, grouped by week, with everything you need to know on a single line: when it goes out, where, what, who is on it and where it stands.
One row per post, everything you need to know
By default the List groups by week, in calendar order; posts with no date yet end up at the bottom, in a group of their own, so they are not forgotten. You can also group by status, channel, content pillar, owner or one of your own choice fields, or remove the grouping. Each row shows the day, the channel with its icon, the title with the content pillar, how many attachments and comments the post has, who owns it and its status. One click opens the post.
How it works
-
Create the List view
In the project section, “Create new…” then List. It starts already grouped by week.
-
Choose the grouping
The week for the Monday meeting; the owner for a catch-up with a colleague; the status to see what is stuck.
-
Scroll and open
You read it top to bottom; on the post to discuss, one click opens it, with text, images and comments.
On Monday the plan gets read, not searched for.
What you can do
-
Week by week
Each week has its heading and post count: the overloaded week and the empty one stand out at once.
-
Everything on one line
Day, channel, title, content pillar, owner and status, with no columns to widen and no sideways scrolling.
-
Attachments and comments counted
Next to the title, how many files and comments the post has: the post without an image and the one with an open discussion are recognisable without opening them.
-
No forgotten posts
Posts with no date yet sit in a group at the bottom, instead of disappearing as they do in a calendar.
-
Group as needed
By week, status, channel, content pillar, owner or one of your own single-choice fields; the view remembers the last choice.
Frequently asked questions
How is it different from the Grid?
The Grid is the worksheet, with columns and filters. The List is made for reading: no columns to arrange, one row per post, groups in calendar order.
Can you edit posts directly from the List?
Yes, by opening them: one click on the row opens the post, with the usual permissions. Whoever writes posts can also create new ones from here.
Is the List view paid separately?
No, it is included in kSocial. If the option has a padlock in the “Create new…” menu, the administrator switches it on from Control centre › Extensions, for the whole company.
