kSocial extension
The editorial plan to your client with a link, no account and no PDF.
The client wants to “see what the month looks like”: you export a PDF, email it, the next day it is already out of date and the comments come back on WhatsApp. With Link sharing every project view — calendar, grid, gallery, board — has its own public links: whoever opens them sees the view with your company’s brand and today’s data and, if you allow it, leaves a comment on the post under their own name.
One link per person, switched off when needed
From “Share”, in the view bar, you create a link, give it a name — “Rossi Ltd”, “Design agency” — and choose what it allows: “View only” or “View and comment”. Whoever opens it needs no account: they see that view, with your company’s logo and colours, and open posts to read them and look at their attachments; nothing else in the project. Internal notes on posts stay inside. Comments left from outside appear in the post with the writer’s name, marked “external” along with the name of the link they came from. Each link can be switched off, regenerated with a new address or deleted, without touching the others.
How it works
-
Create the link
On the view to show, “Share” then “New link”: a name that says who it is for and what the person opening it can do.
-
Send it
Copy the address and send it however you like. It opens in the browser, with no sign-up, with your company’s brand at the top.
-
Read the comments in the post
If the link allows comments, the feedback lands on the right post with the name of whoever wrote it: not in a chat you have to copy from.
The client looks at the real plan, not last Tuesday’s photocopy.
What you can do
-
Several links per view
One for the client, one for the photographer, one for the director: each with its own name, and you can switch one off without touching the others.
-
View, or comment too
With “View only” the visitor looks without leaving a trace; with “View and comment” they write on posts, under their own name.
-
Your company’s brand
The public page uses the logo and colours set for your company: the client recognises who is sending it.
-
Always up to date
The link shows the plan as it is now: a moved date or a corrected text shows up next time it is opened, with nothing to resend.
-
Switch off or regenerate
A switched-off link stops responding and can be switched back on when needed; regenerated, the old address dies and a new one is born.
-
Internal notes stay inside
Whoever opens the link does not see posts’ internal notes, nor the project’s other sections, boards or library.
Frequently asked questions
Does the client see drafts too?
They see the view as it is, with the section’s posts that the view shows. If they must not see drafts and ideas, share a Grid filtered by status, or keep their posts in a separate section.
Can the client approve posts from the link?
No: from the link you look and, if the link allows it, comment. To approve, the client enters their project with an external account, which sees posts from review onwards.
Who can create links?
Whoever manages projects. The extension is included and switched on: if the administrator switches it off, “Share” disappears and existing links stop responding, without being deleted; switching it back on brings them back.
