Forecast Coming soon

See today how the year will end

The forecast spreadsheet is out of date the next day. In KashPlan the forecast comes from invoices, fixed costs, salaries and instalments, and updates itself as real transactions take its place.

A forecast you don’t have to redo every month

Studio Morelli prepares the forecast in January, and by March nobody looks at it: too many rows to update by hand. With KashPlan an invoice already has its due date, a fixed cost repeats by itself, and when the payment arrives the real transaction replaces the forecast. The month-end figure stays right without anyone copying it.

How it works

  1. The forecast builds itself

Issued and planned invoices at their due dates, received invoices to pay, fixed costs, salaries and tax payments, loan instalments, VAT and withholding payments.

  2. Actuals take its place

Up to yesterday, bank transactions count; from today, the forecast. You match a payment to its invoice and the entry closes, without counting twice.

  3. You try and decide

You drag a payment to the next month and see the trial balance next to the real one. Then you print the report for the bank or the accountant.

A forecast is useful if it stays true without redoing it.

What you can do

  • The year month by month

Opening and closing balance, income, expenses, receivables and payables at month end, with past months actual and future months forecast.

  • The years ahead too

The forecast doesn’t stop in December: you move to the next year and correct a single month of a fixed cost when you know it will change.

  • Fixed costs that repeat

Rent, subscriptions, meal vouchers: every 1, 2, 3, 6 or 12 months, with from and to dates. The charge of each linked card appears by itself.

  • Salaries and tax payments in the forecast

For each employee: annual cost, 12, 13 or 14 monthly payments and the part paid by tax form on the 16th of the next month. Without the privilege, only totals are visible.

  • Trials without consequences

You move collections, payments, fixed costs and instalments between months. The real forecast doesn’t change, and the trial stays on your computer until you cancel it.

  • The report for whoever asks

Cash statement, income and expenses by item, receivables and payables, credit lines and loans over a period you choose. Print it as PDF or export it to Excel.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the forecast get its figures?

From what you’ve already entered in KashPlan: invoice due dates, planned invoices, fixed costs, staff, loans. Corporate income taxes are written by you: KashPlan doesn’t estimate them.

Could a payment count twice?

No: when you match a transaction to its invoice, the transaction counts, and a forecast entry with a confirmed transaction of the same day and amount is treated as covered.

Can colleagues see the trials?

No: they stay only on that computer until you cancel them. Invoices, payments and forecast don’t change. Salaries, tax payments and VAT can’t be moved.

Does KashPlan replace the accountant?

No: KashPlan looks after cash, it doesn’t keep the books. The report exists to give the bank and the accountant a clear picture of the period.
