The domain

The company address, for everyone on the team

You connect the domain once, copy the records kMail prepares for you and verify with one click. From then on every colleague has their own mailbox on the company domain, with the same sign-in they use for the rest of Kamzan.

“Just write to my personal Gmail”

At Studio Morelli it happened with every new hire: personal addresses on quotes, clients unsure who to write to, mail that left along with whoever left the firm. With kMail everyone has firstname.lastname@studiomorelli.it from day one, and the mailbox stays with the company.

How it works

  1. Add the domain

In Settings › Domains type studiomorelli.it: kMail generates the DKIM signature and shows you the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records to copy into your domain provider’s panel.

  2. Verify

Once the records are published press “Verify”: the domain switches to Verified. If you use more than one, choose the primary one for new mailboxes.

  3. Create the mailboxes

From the Mailboxes tab you assign an address to each colleague, or let the mailbox be created automatically on first sign-in. An external collaborator receives an invitation with their mailbox ready.

The domain is yours. So is the mail.

What you can do

  • DNS explained, record by record

Each record says what it’s for: MX routes the mail, SPF authorises sending, DKIM signs the messages, DMARC says how to treat forged ones. You copy the values and that’s it: nothing to guess.

  • Mail that lands in the inbox

kMail generates the DKIM key when you add the domain: outgoing messages are signed and authenticated, so your quotes don’t end up in the client’s spam folder.

  • A mailbox for every person

You create a colleague’s mailbox in one step, or turn on auto-creation and everyone finds theirs ready on first sign-in. In the sidebar each person sees how much space their mailbox is using.

  • For people outside the company too

A regular consultant or a project collaborator can have a firm address: you invite them at their personal address, they get a link to set a password and find their mailbox on first sign-in.

  • Thunderbird, Outlook, Apple Mail

Anyone who prefers their own mail program finds the servers and ports already filled in under Settings › IMAP, and generates a dedicated password for each device. If you lose the laptop, you revoke just that one.

  • Who does what, your call

Managing domains, creating mailboxes, connecting external accounts and migrating old mail are separate privileges: you assign them to user types, without handing everyone the keys to everything.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to change domain provider?

No. The domain stays where you registered it: you only add the DNS records kMail shows you. Your website keeps working as before.

What happens to mail arriving while I change the records?

DNS records take a few hours to propagate, and during that time some messages may still reach the old provider. With kMail’s migration you retrieve them and bring them into the new mailbox, folders included.

Can I use the mailbox from my own mail program?

Yes, if access from mail programs is enabled for your company. Under Settings › IMAP you find the server details and generate an app password: it’s different from your Kamzan account password, which stays yours alone.

Can I have more than one domain?

Yes. You add and verify each domain the same way, then choose which is primary: it’s the one on which mailboxes created automatically at first sign-in are set up.
