AI extensions
The right tone for every email, and the answer you’re looking for in your mail
Write what you want to say and leave the register to the AI: more formal, shorter, kinder. When you’re looking for something buried in your mail, ask in your own words and get the answer with the email it comes from. All with Kamzan’s local models.
You already have the words. What’s missing is the tone, or that email from March
At Ferrari Design the reply to an unhappy client is written in one go: with “Apologetic” it becomes diplomatic, with “Concise” it fits in five lines, and the facts stay the ones you wrote. Then someone asks who sent the ESG tender specification: you ask your mailbox and it points you to the email where it’s discussed.
How it works
-
Write your way
Jot down the message or the reply as it comes, then press “Rewrite with AI” and choose the tone, with its number key too.
-
Compare and apply
The rewritten version appears in a panel alongside. Switch tone, regenerate it or copy it; “Apply” replaces the text, and if you change your mind Ctrl+Z brings back the original.
-
Ask your mailbox
When you need a piece of information, open “Ask your mailbox”, type the question and choose the period. The answer arrives with the email it’s based on, and one click opens the message.
The words stay yours. The AI helps you say them and find them again.
What you can do
-
Eight tones
Formal, Professional, Friendly, Cordial, Concise, Extended, Direct and Apologetic. Concise shortens without losing information, Extended adds breadth, Apologetic acknowledges the inconvenience and offers a way forward.
-
Your facts, in your language
The rewrite stays in the language you wrote in and doesn’t invent names, dates, figures or commitments that weren’t there. It doesn’t add greetings or signatures, keeps images where they were and can turn into a list or bold what needs to be seen at once.
-
Apply, Regenerate, Copy
The panel shows the proposal without touching your text. You move from one tone to another and the versions already made stay ready; “Regenerate” prepares another with the same tone, “Copy” takes it elsewhere.
-
Questions in plain language
“Who wrote to me about the ESG tender this year?”, “When did they send us the latest price list?”. The search understands synonyms and the meaning of the question, not just the exact words, and goes through all your indexed mail.
-
Answers with sources
Under the answer you find the “Relevant email” with sender, subject and date, and the people involved. You can narrow the period, from any time to the last 7 days, and, if AI Triage is on, filter by client or by topic.
-
Everyone sees only their own mail
The index is separate for each company and every question searches only the mailboxes of the person asking. A colleague asking their mailbox never finds your email.
Frequently asked questions
Does the AI write the reply for me?
No. “Rewrite with AI” works on the text you wrote and changes its tone; it doesn’t compose a reply from scratch. It doesn’t translate and isn’t a grammar checker: the content and the language stay yours.
Does email leave Kamzan’s infrastructure?
No: rewriting and search run on Kamzan’s local models, and the mail index sits on Kamzan’s servers. A cloud provider only comes into play if the company’s administrators explicitly choose one.
Do I need both extensions, or AI Triage as well?
No. “Rewrite with AI”, “Ask your mailbox” and AI Triage are three independent extensions: a company can turn on just one, two or all of them. With AI Triage on, Ask your mailbox adds filters by client and by topic.
What happens if the answer isn’t in the mail?
It tells you: “I didn’t find any relevant email”, suggesting you rephrase or widen the period. The answer is always based on the email it shows you, so you can check where it comes from.
