Every party to the deal comes in through its own door
The buyer, their advisors, the bank, your law firm: in kVDR each sits in a group, and external people come in with the personal link they receive by email, with no sign-up and no password to remember.
A shared folder doesn’t know who is on the other side
When due diligence documents travel by email or sit in a folder opened with a link, after two weeks nobody knows who has access any more: the link was forwarded, someone added the new advisor, the one who left the mandate still sees everything. kVDR starts from people: you put them in groups that mirror the parties to the deal, and each group has its own perimeter.
How it works
-
Create the deal’s groups
One group per party — buyer, financial advisors, lawyers, internal team — with a name, a description and a colour that makes it recognisable at a glance in the permission matrix.
-
Add the people
Colleagues join as internal members with their Kamzan account. For external people an email and a name are enough, one at a time or from a CSV file: each receives an invitation by email.
-
The guest comes in through the link
They open the invitation, accept the NDA if the data room requires one, and they are in: marked “Guest access” and with only the sections their group may see.
You decide who is in, not the chain of forwards.
What you can do
-
Internal and external in the same group
The team running the deal can sit in the same group as the external advisor working alongside it. Next to every name you see whether it is a colleague or an external person.
-
No account for external people
Guests create no user account and choose no password: they enter with the personal link in the invitation, valid for 90 days. Once it expires, whoever manages the data room invites them again.
-
Lists imported from CSV
The buyer’s team has twenty people? Download the template, fill in emails and names, check the preview and import: at the end kVDR tells you how many were added and how many were not.
-
You know who hasn’t come in yet
For each external person the group card shows “Invitation pending” or “Invitation accepted”. If an advisor still hasn’t opened the data room two days before the deadline, you see it before it becomes a problem.
-
Guests inside their perimeter
A guest sees only the data room they were invited to. They can browse, search and ask questions; uploading documents, changing groups and permissions or reading the activity log stays out of their reach.
-
Every arrival leaves a trace
Groups created and people added or removed go into the activity log with who did it, when and from which IP address. The question “who let this person in?” always has an answer.
Frequently asked questions
Do guests need to create a Kamzan account?
No. They enter through the personal link in the invitation email, which stays valid for 90 days. If the data room has an NDA, they accept it on first entry; once the link expires, simply invite them again.
Can one person be in several groups?
An internal colleague, yes: for each section the highest level among their groups applies. A guest enters with one group’s invitation and sees what that group sees.
Who can create groups and invite people?
Whoever manages the data room: the person who created it and anyone in the company with the “Manage all rooms” privilege. Group members, internal or external, cannot add other people or change the groups.
