Kore CRM extension
The information you actually use, on the record and not in a separate sheet.
Every company has its own data: the customer’s supplier code, the number of sites, the contact source, the maintenance contract expiry date. If the CRM has no place for them they end up in the notes, where nobody finds them, or in a spreadsheet nobody updates. With Custom fields you define them, and they appear on the record next to everything else.
Your fields, checked like the built-in ones
In the settings, under “Custom fields”, you choose where: opportunities, companies or contacts. Each field has a label, a type among text, long text, number, date, dropdown and yes/no, an optional help text and the “Required” tick. Fields are grouped into sections with a title you decide, such as “Technical data” or “Contract data”. On the company, contact or opportunity record the “Custom fields” panel appears: you fill it in there, and each field saves when you leave it, with no button to remember. Kore checks what goes in: a number must be a number, a date a date, a dropdown accepts only the options provided.
How it works
-
Choose where
Opportunities, companies or contacts: each has its own fields and sections, because the number of sites belongs to the company, not the person.
-
Define the field
Label, type and, for a dropdown, the options one per line. Add a help text if the field needs explaining, and mark it as required if it cannot stay empty.
-
Fill it in on the record
The field appears straight away on every record of that type, in its section. Whoever works on the record fills it in; if the value is not valid, Kore says why.
The CRM takes the shape of your data.
What you can do
-
Six field types
Text and long text, number, date with the calendar picker, dropdown and yes/no. The type is set when the field is created and then stays: values already entered never become inconsistent.
-
Sections with a title
Fields are grouped under titles such as “Technical data” or “Contract data”. Deleting a section keeps its fields, with their values, simply outside any group.
-
Validated values
A number accepts only numbers, a date only dates, a dropdown only its own options. A required field carries the asterisk, and Kore will not save it empty.
-
Help text
Under the field, a line explaining what goes in it: where to find the supplier code, which format to use. Whoever comes later fills it in the way it was intended.
-
Archive without losing anything
A field that is no longer needed can be archived: it disappears from the records and the values stay, ready to come back if you put it back in use. Deleting it for good, values included, is a separate choice.
Frequently asked questions
Who can create fields?
Whoever administers Kore, from the settings: defining a field changes everyone’s records. Filling them in is up to whoever works on companies, contacts and opportunities.
Can I change the type of a field already in use?
No: a text that turns into a date would make the values already entered unreadable. Label, help text, dropdown options, section and the required setting can be changed whenever you like; for a different type you create a new field.
If we turn the extension off, do we lose the values?
No. The fields disappear from the records, but the values already entered are kept and return to their place when you turn it back on.
