Following up deals
Your deals in columns, not in a spreadsheet.
Open deals live in a spreadsheet everyone updates their own way, and the answer to “how much will we close this quarter?” takes half a day of phone calls. In Kore every deal is an opportunity on a column pipeline: you move it to the next stage by dragging it, each column adds up the value it holds, and whoever follows it finds data, activities and documents in a single record.
One record per deal, one column per stage
Kore starts with six ready-made stages — New lead, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Won, Lost — which you can rename, recolour, delete or extend with your own in Settings. An opportunity is created from the button at the top of the pipeline, from the “+” on a column, or by converting a lead, which creates it already linked to the company and the contact. It has a name, a value, a probability, an expected close date and an owner, who is the person who created it: if a colleague moves it to another stage, the owner hears about it from the notification bell. When the deal is over you give it an outcome, won or lost, with its date; for a lost one you pick the reason from a list you define.
How it works
-
Open the deal
Create the opportunity from the pipeline, from the “+” of the right stage or by converting a lead: name, value, probability and expected close date are all you need to start.
-
Move it as it progresses
Drag the card to the next column. The card keeps showing value, probability and the initials of whoever follows it; at the top of each column, how many there are and what they are worth together.
-
Close it with an outcome
Won or lost, with the date of the outcome. If it is lost, pick the reason — price, timing, competition, whatever you decide — and add a note for the detail.
Every column tells you what it is worth.
What you can do
-
The value of every stage
Each column shows how many opportunities it holds and the sum of their value: you see at once where most of the portfolio sits and which stage is running dry.
-
The list, with search and filters
Next to the pipeline there is the Opportunities view as a table: search by name, company or contact and filter by open, won, lost or all, with a count on each filter.
-
Everything in the opportunity record
Summary, details, activities: the record gathers the deal’s data, the calls and reminders linked to it and, with Files active, the document folders. From there, the company and the contact are one click away.
-
Everyone their own, coordinators all
Without the “Sees everyone’s opportunities” privilege, a salesperson finds only the opportunities they own in the list and in the pipeline. Editing them requires “Opportunity management”: people who only need to look, only look.
-
Why deals are lost
Loss reasons are your own list, in Settings under Classification: you write them, rename them and remove the ones you do not need. The detail that does not fit in a short list goes in the opportunity’s note.
-
Extensions, when you need them
A forecast of how much you will close in the period, several pipelines for new business and renewals, a price list to build quote lines from, flows that prepare the quote and the document generated from a template: they are switched on one at a time and work on the same opportunities.
In depth
-
Sales and forecast
At the end of the month someone asks “how much is coming in?” and the answer is a spreadsheet rebuilt by hand, with each person remembering the deals their own way. Sales and forecast reads the opportunities you already keep in Kore: how much has been won, how much the open deals are expected to bring and, looking back, where customers come from, how long they take and why deals are lost.
-
Multiple pipelines
A renewal does not need a “first contact”, an upsell does not start from scratch, a tender has steps a direct sale never sees. With a single pipeline you end up with stages that only half apply, or a separate spreadsheet for renewals. With Multiple pipelines each sales process has its own board, with its own stages, and opportunities stay inside theirs.
-
Catalogue and offer lines
The opportunity value written by guesswork, the price fished out of the last offer sent, the discount nobody remembers how it was worked out. With Catalogue and offer lines prices live in one place, the offer is built line by line on the opportunity and its value is the total of the lines, not an estimate.
-
Offer flows
Every service you sell has its own path: phases, tasks to tick off, space to note down the client’s answers. At the end you set the commercial decisions and Kore CRM turns them into an opportunity that is already filled in.
-
Quote generationComing soon
Upload the DOCX template to Kamzan Files and add the placeholders: company name, opportunity value, what’s included and what isn’t. Today you prepare and organise the templates; automatic filling with the offer flow data is coming soon.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the pipeline stages?
Yes. In Settings, under Pipelines, you rename stages, change their colour, add new ones and delete the ones you do not use. Without extensions there is one pipeline; with Multiple pipelines you keep one per process, each with its own stages.
Who sees colleagues’ opportunities?
Whoever has the “Sees everyone’s opportunities” privilege in their user type. Everyone else sees their own, in the list, in the pipeline and in the dashboard panels; a colleague’s opportunity simply does not exist for them.
Do I have to type the probability myself?
You can type it on each opportunity. With the Sales and forecast extension, Kore also calculates it from history — how many of the closed opportunities that went through that stage were won — and uses it when none has been typed. With fewer than ten closed per stage, and twenty per pipeline, it says there is not enough data yet.
