The client joins with a link. You decide when
No account to create, no app to download: the guest opens the link, types their name, picks a camera and microphone and waits in the waiting room. You see them arrive, hear a sound and let them in with one click.
Open to whoever needs it, closed to whoever shouldn’t come in
The accountant at Rossi & Partner shouldn’t spend ten minutes installing software for a half-hour call. But a link forwarded once too often shouldn’t let just anyone in either. kMeeting handles both: the guest joins from the browser in seconds, and you open the door yourself, from the waiting room, with a password if the meeting calls for it.
How it works
-
Share the link
In the invitation, in a chat or in an email. When you create the meeting you choose whether to admit guests, whether to use the waiting room and whether to ask for a password.
-
The guest gets ready to join
They open the link in their browser, on a phone too, type their first and last name and, on the “Get ready to join” screen, test camera, microphone and background before anyone sees them.
-
You approve and the meeting begins
In the room you hear a sound and see the request with the name of whoever is waiting: “Approve” or “Deny”. If the waiting room is off, anyone with the link goes straight in.
A link is all it takes to join. But the door is still yours.
What you can do
-
Guests without an account
Clients, suppliers, candidates: they join from the browser on their computer or phone with their first and last name. No registration, no software to install.
-
Test before joining
Before joining, everyone picks their camera and microphone, checks the framing and sets blur or a background. People arrive ready, without the usual “can you hear me?”.
-
Waiting room with Approve and Deny
Whoever arrives waits until you or a co-host lets them in. A sound alerts you, the name appears in the request list and you decide with one click.
-
“Notify the organiser”
If nobody lets them in, or the room isn’t open yet, the guest can send a notice to the organiser. When the room opens, whoever is waiting gets a sound and a notification and joins with one click.
-
Rejoining without going back to the waiting room
If a guest’s connection drops for a moment, kMeeting brings them back in by itself: they don’t return to the waiting room and you don’t have to approve them again.
-
Password, only when needed
For a board meeting or a confidential interview, add a password: participants enter it to join, the organiser and co-hosts don’t have to. It can be changed at any time.
-
Webinar mode
For a presentation to many people, only the organiser broadcasts audio, video and screen. The others watch and take part through the chat, with no microphones left on by mistake.
Frequently asked questions
Can I turn off guest access for the whole company?
Yes. Guest access is a company setting: if you turn it off, only people with an account can join your meetings. When it’s on, each organiser decides meeting by meeting whether to admit guests.
Is the waiting room mandatory?
No, you turn it on or off for each meeting. With it off, anyone with the link goes straight in after typing their name: handy for an internal meeting, less so for one with external people.
If I remove someone, can they come back?
Not without your permission: if they try again, they go back through the waiting room and you decide whether to let them in. To keep them out entirely, deny their request or set a password on the meeting.
How many people can take part?
Fifty per meeting by default. The limit can be raised to five hundred in the company settings. End-to-end encrypted meetings stay within one hundred participants.
