The number on your business cards stays the same

Changing number means redoing signs, website and customers’ habits. With kVoice you don’t have to: keep yours, forward it to the kVoice number and decide in which cases. A check confirms that calls really reach the assistant.

All it takes is call forwarding, the kind you already know

Kamzan assigns your company a kVoice number. From then on, every call forwarded there reaches the assistant. Studio Morelli went for the most cautious option: the assistant steps in only when reception doesn’t answer, is busy or the phone is off. Nothing changes during the day; when nobody can pick up, the call isn’t lost.

How it works

  1. Get your kVoice number

Kamzan assigns it to your company and you find it on the Activation page, ready to copy, with the step-by-step guide.

  2. Forward your calls

From iPhone or Android settings, with GSM codes or from your PBX. The page suggests the case that fits how you chose the assistant should answer.

  3. Check that it works

With “Verify forwarding”, kVoice briefly calls your number and checks that, once forwarded, the call really reaches your assistant.

The number stays. What changes is who answers when you can’t.

What you can do

  • You choose when to forward

Always, if you don’t answer, if you’re busy, if you’re unreachable, or the last three together. The advice is to forward only when you can’t answer: the assistant acts as a safety net.

  • How long it rings before the assistant

From 5 to 30 seconds, and the code to dial updates itself. With 20 seconds, the suggested value, you have plenty of time to answer yourself.

  • Instructions for the phone you actually have

Separate steps for iPhone and Android, codes already filled in with your kVoice number, and a PDF guide to print or hand to whoever manages the phones.

  • A test that leaves no doubt

The check tells you whether the call arrived, ended up on another number, or forwarding doesn’t appear to be on. When it succeeds, the date stays recorded next to your number.

  • From your mobile, in two taps

Before leaving the office, open “On the phone”: see who called, call back with a tap and turn forwarding on or off. On Android the code opens ready; on iPhone you copy and paste it.

  • Landlines and PBXs included

On landlines and PBXs the codes vary by operator: you follow their instructions, forwarding to your kVoice number. The check works for them too.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to change number or operator?

No. Your number and contract stay as they are: you only add forwarding to the kVoice number, and you can remove it whenever you like.

Does forwarding cost anything?

It depends on your operator: some charge for the forwarded call, usually around 5 cents a minute. It’s worth checking your plan before turning it on.

How do I get the assistant to answer only when we’re closed?

The phone network doesn’t know your hours, so the suggested route is “if I don’t answer, am busy or unreachable” forwarding: when you’re closed nobody answers and the call moves to kVoice by itself. Alternatively, turn on full forwarding at closing time and remove it at opening, or set time bands on your PBX.

Do the codes work with every operator?

On mobiles they’re the standard GSM ones, the same for the main operators. Some virtual operators don’t accept them and ask you to turn on forwarding from their app or customer area. That’s why the check exists: within a minute you know whether it worked.
