Notes you can still find tomorrow

A note taken in a hurry serves whoever wrote it. Notika makes it useful later too: your own folders and labels, checklists you tick off, sharing with the right people — even writing together, at the same time — and search inside the text, not just the titles.

The company notepad, not yet another document

Work notes end up everywhere: a file on the desktop, a message to yourself, a page in a notebook. When you need them — the client call, the onboarding list, the numbers from the management meeting — they are nowhere.

Notika is where they live. It opens with your Kamzan login, the note saves itself while you type, goes into a folder and takes a colour. A selected line becomes a task in Klokka; a kSocial or Projekta project note lives there and can be read from here too.

What you do with it

  • Writing notes

Write as you would in a document: headings, lists, highlighter, tables and images. Notika saves on its own as you type, and the title comes from the first line.

  • Checklists and to-dos

Tick boxes as you write, gather all your to-dos in a single list, assign them to whoever works on the note and, if you add a date, find them in the Klokka Agenda.

  • Folders, labels and search

Coloured folders on two levels, labels only you can see, favourites and pinned notes. And when you need it, an advanced search you can save as a smart folder.

  • Sharing and writing together

Notes stay yours until you decide to share them. Then you give them to whoever you want, read-only or with editing, and you write on the same page seeing everyone else’s cursors.

  • Versions and bin

Notika saves a version of the note every five minutes of writing: compare it with the previous one or with today and restore it in one click. Binned notes stay recoverable for the days your company decides.

  • Voice notes and transcription

Record a voice note of up to 10 minutes inside the note, play it back when needed and, if your company enables transcription, turn it into text. Your company picks the engine, self-hosted included.

  • Tidying notes with AI

Punctuation, lists, checklists and a title for notes taken in a hurry. The AI reorders what you wrote, doesn’t add and doesn’t summarise, and the note changes only if you accept. Your company chooses the model.

  • Notika in the ecosystem

Meeting notes land in Notika on their own, a line becomes an activity in the Agenda, the note links to the client or project and is saved to Files. And when needed, a public link with an expiry date.

An assistant, if you want one

Two extensions, both optional. “Tidy up notes” takes hurried notes and puts them in order, turns them into a list or a checklist, suggests a title: you see Now and Proposed side by side, and the note changes only if you choose “Replace”. It does not summarise and adds nothing that was not there. Transcription turns voice notes into text. The company chooses the model, local ones included; the same goes for the transcription engine: a cloud service or a self-hosted one, in which case the audio never leaves.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Kamzan admin read my notes?

No. There is no function for it: the server answers that the note does not exist. They see only what you share with them.

Can I share a note with someone without Kamzan?

Yes, with the Public link extension: a read-only link, no login needed, that expires after 7, 30, 90 or 365 days. You can protect it with a password or an email code, and revoke it whenever you want.

Can two of us write on the same note?

Yes, at the same time: whoever has the note open for editing sees the others’ cursors, and changes appear as they are typed. Read-only users see the text update without being able to touch it.

If someone deletes a piece, can it be recovered?

Yes. Every note has a version history: pick a point on the timeline, compare Before and After, and restore. The restore itself saves a version, so nothing is lost even when going back.

Do I need Files or another product to use Notika?

No, Notika stands on its own. With Klokka, a line of a note becomes an Agenda task; with kSocial or Projekta, project notes can be read from here too.

Where are voice notes transcribed?

On the engine your company chooses: a cloud service or a self-hosted engine, in which case the audio never leaves. Transcription is an extension: if it is off, the voice note stays audio.
