Shared business address books for the whole team
Kontacts brings your company contacts into shared address books: customers, suppliers and colleagues always up to date, synced over CardDAV and reachable from any device, on servers in Europe.
Your company’s contacts live in ten different places
Personal phonebooks, Excel exports, the mailbox of whoever left. When you need a contact, nobody knows which version is right.
Without a shared address book
- Duplicate, out-of-sync contacts across phones, Excel sheets and personal mailboxes.
- When someone leaves the company, their contacts leave with them.
- No standard: numbers and emails sit in silos that don’t talk to each other.
With Kontacts
- A single company address book, shared and always up to date for the whole team.
- Contacts stay with the company: per-book permissions, no data walking out the door.
- Standard CardDAV: the same contacts on phone, Apple Contacts and Outlook.
The right address books for the right people
Organise contacts into several address books — customers, suppliers, a department, a project — each with a name and colour. Share every one with colleagues read-only or read-write: the sales book to the sales team, the suppliers book to purchasing. Each record keeps emails, phones, addresses, organisation, categories and notes together.
From scattered contacts to a shared address book, in four steps
- 01 Import Bring existing address books in from vCard, CSV or another CardDAV server.
- 02 Organise Group contacts into named, colour-coded books, with categories and organisations.
- 03 Share Give each book the right permissions: read-only or read-write, per person or team.
- 04 Sync Expose via CardDAV: the same contacts on every phone and client, always aligned.
No manual migration, no copy-paste: contacts come in once and stay in sync.
One address book, many views
The same contacts, shown the way you need them: cards, a dense list, grouped by organisation or opened in detail.
The card grid: avatar, name, company and contact at a glance.
The compact list to quickly scan many contacts and find the right one.
Contacts grouped by company: all of a client’s people together.
The full record: contact details, organisation, categories, notes and the books it belongs to.
You save a contact once. After that it belongs to the company, not to someone’s phone.
The same contacts on every device
Kontacts exposes address books over CardDAV, the open standard for contacts. Connect them to Apple Contacts, Thunderbird, Outlook or the company phone and they stay in sync: edit a record once and the update lands everywhere. Every connection uses a dedicated app password you can revoke whenever you want.
- Standard CardDAVNo lock-in: any CardDAV client connects to your address books.
- Dedicated app passwordsEach device gets its own credential, revocable in one click without touching the others.
- Always alignedOne edit propagates to every connected client: no diverging versions.
AI search
Search contacts the way you would ask out loud
Kontacts AI search understands natural language: ask “contacts in Milan in the construction sector” and get the list right away. The AI never reads your contacts — it only receives the address book structure and writes the query, which is shown to you. No personal data leaves.
- Ask in natural language Write the question as you would to a colleague: city, sector, role or category, even combined.
- The AI does not see your contacts It only receives the address book schema and generates the query: personal data is never sent to the model.
- Always a transparent query The generated query is visible and read-only: you see exactly how the result was found.
