Kore CRM extension
The deal value is the sum of what you offer.
The opportunity value written by guesswork, the price fished out of the last offer sent, the discount nobody remembers how it was worked out. With Catalogue and offer lines prices live in one place, the offer is built line by line on the opportunity and its value is the total of the lines, not an estimate.
From the catalogue to the opportunity
In the settings, under “Catalogue”, you create the categories (for example “Services”, “Licences”) and the items: name, category, price, unit such as piece or hour, and the “Recurring” tick for anything billed on a recurring basis. On the opportunity the “Offer lines” tab appears: “Add line”, then “Pick from the catalogue” or a free line for whatever is not in the catalogue. Quantity, price and percentage discount are adjusted line by line, and at the bottom there is the total with the recurring share. That total becomes the opportunity value, and the board, lists and forecast update with it. As long as there are no lines, the hand-written value stays.
How it works
-
Set up the catalogue
Categories and items with price, unit and recurring flag, once for everyone. Whoever administers Kore does it; everyone else reads it when building an offer.
-
Build the offer
On the opportunity add lines from the catalogue or free lines, then adjust quantity, price and discount where needed. It saves when you leave the field.
-
The value follows the lines
Every time a line is added, changed or removed, the opportunity value is recalculated: the board and the forecast read the right figure without anyone retyping it.
One catalogue, and the offer always adds up.
What you can do
-
Prices fixed in the line
When you add an item, the line copies its name, price, unit and category. If the catalogue changes tomorrow, offers already made stay as you sent them.
-
Free lines
The tailored consultancy or the trip that is not in the catalogue is written as a free line, with description, quantity and price, and counts in the total like the others.
-
Discount per line
The percentage discount sits on the line it applies to, and the line total shows it already worked out: you see what was conceded on, not just how much.
-
Recurring kept apart from one-off
Recurring items are marked on the line and under the total there is the recurring share. With Sales and forecast they become a monthly equivalent and a twelve-month projection.
-
Categories to read sales by type
The catalogue categories are the same ones you choose as “Offer category” on the opportunity: with Sales and forecast, sales can also be read by type.
Frequently asked questions
If I change a price in the catalogue, do offers already made change?
No. Each line keeps the price and name it had when it was added. Even if you delete an item from the catalogue, lines already entered stay as they are.
Can I still enter the value by hand?
Yes, as long as the opportunity has no lines: an offer not yet detailed keeps the salesperson’s estimate. From the first line on, the value is the total of the lines.
If we turn the extension off, what remains?
The values already calculated stay written on the opportunities. What disappears is the catalogue in the settings and the “Offer lines” tab, that is, the detail of how those values came about.
