Sharing
The link to the client, with the rules written on it
A link says what can be done — view, download, upload, edit — until when, and by whom. The page the client opens carries your logo, not ours. And who opened it stays on record.
Four ways to share, one place to decide
To a Files user, to a group, by email or with a public link. For each you pick the permissions one by one, the password, expiry at 7 days or 3 months, whether to ask for an email before opening, whether to show the company name instead of yours. With “document request” mode the link becomes a drop box the client only uploads into: no browsing, no download.
How it works
-
Choose what whoever opens it can do
Nine permissions as switches: view, download, upload, create folders, edit, rename, copy, move, delete. The link for the accountant is not the link for the photographer.
-
Add the protections you need
Password, expiry, email verification with a six-digit code, acknowledgement declaration before download. For confidential documents, a watermark with the viewer’s email.
-
Send a page, not a URL
The public page is built from blocks — logo, background, message, preview, company details — and saved as a template. The address is short and readable: /s/…/rossi-contract.
A link without an expiry is a file that is public forever.
What you can do
-
Link, email, person or group
Four share types with the same granular permissions; exclusions and per-member exceptions are inherited down the subfolders.
-
Document request
The link becomes a collection box: the client uploads, you get notified, files land in the right folder.
-
Pages with your brand
Twelve block types, a shared media library, one template for the invoice and one for the quote. The client sees you.
-
NDA before opening
For sensitive shares, a confidentiality agreement to accept before seeing the content, with a record of who accepted and when.
-
Access log
Who opened the link, when, from which country and browser. And for emails: sent, delivered or rejected, address by address.
-
Presets so you don’t repeat yourself
The combinations you always use — “client, read-only, 30 days, password” — are saved and applied in one click.
In depth
-
Public links
The client has no Kamzan account and does not need one: you send them a link. You decide whether they can only view or also download and upload, whether a password is needed, when it expires, whether they must say who they are. And you see who opened it, when, how many times.
-
Advanced link security
A confidential quote, a due diligence, a contract before signing: the link must work only once, or for twenty minutes, or only after accepting a non-disclosure agreement. These are the public link’s “Advanced” options, unlocked by a dedicated permission.
-
Email sharing
Instead of pasting a link into Outlook, you type the addresses in Files: each person receives their own email with their own link, their own password — by SMS if you like, on another channel — and you see whether the email was delivered. When three firms receive the same accounts, you know who opened them.
-
Content sales
A 3D model, a survey, a report, a template: you share it with a €30 link. Whoever arrives sees the watermarked preview, accepts terms and consent, pays by card or bank transfer through Mollie, and only once payment is confirmed receives the clean file. The proceeds go to your Mollie account: Kamzan does not touch the money.
-
Document collection with Flow
A loan file, an onboarding, a due diligence: dozens of documents to request from people who have no account. From the client’s folder in Files you open a Flow collection: whoever must deliver gets their list, uploads, a validator checks — and what passes appears in the Files folder, linked to the collection.
Frequently asked questions
Does the client need a Kamzan account?
No. The public link opens in the browser; if you want to know who it is, ask for the email and Files sends a six-digit code valid for ten minutes. If the client is a recurring user instead, give them the “Client” profile and they see only their folders.
Can I revoke a link already sent?
Yes, at any time, and from then on it answers “not found”. You can also change its expiry or permissions without regenerating it.
Can I block external sharing for certain folders?
Yes, at workspace level: with “external sharing blocked” no public link can be created from those folders, whatever permissions the person has.
