From the file to the signature, without leaving Files

The contract is in Files, the signers are in kSign. “Send to sign” from the context menu opens the signature request on the document in front of you: choose who signs and how, and kSign does its job. Requires the kSign product to be active in your company.

Files holds the document, kSign gets it signed

There is no download and re-upload: the PDF leaves Files and becomes a signature request in kSign, with the same Kamzan login. Who can do it is decided by the access level on the folder — the “Electronic signature (kSign)” permission — and Files checks extension and permission before opening, so whoever is not enabled gets a clear message instead of a window that does not work. The request then lives in kSign: signers, reminders, status, signed document and signature evidence are there.

How it works

  1. Right-click → Send to sign

    On the PDF that needs signing. Files checks the extension is active and you have the permission; if something is missing it tells you right away.

  2. Compose the request in kSign

    In the kSign window, inside Files, choose the signers, the signature type and where it goes. The document is already there: you do not look for it, you do not re-upload it.

  3. Follow the signature in kSign

    “Signature request created”: from here on reminders, each signer’s status, the signed document and the evidence are in kSign, which is built for that.

The document does not move. The signature does.

What you can do

  • Permission per folder

    “Can send files to sign via kSign” sits in the access level: in “Contracts” sales people have it, in “Drafts” nobody does.

  • Check before opening

    A server-side check precedes the kSign window: extension, permission, folder. The prohibition is real even for those trying to bypass the interface.

  • Same login, same contacts

    kSign is a Kamzan product: you log in with the same account and internal signers are already there. For external ones an email is enough.

  • In the file’s activity

    The signature request appears among the document’s activities, so whoever opens the folder knows it has gone out.

Do I need kSign?

Yes: the extension is the bridge, the signing is done by kSign. If kSign is not active in your company, the entry does not appear.

What type of signature can I request?

Those offered by kSign: from simple electronic signature to those with strong identification, according to what is active in your kSign plan. The choice is made in the request.

Where do I find the signed document?

In kSign, with the signature evidence and each signer’s status. From there you save it to Files in the folder you prefer.
