Reusing pieces of another flow

In the template’s «Structure» step, at the bottom of the level you’re in — next to «Add area», «Add topic» or «Add step» — there’s «Import from another flow»: «Import or link areas and topics from an existing flow». It only appears if at least one other template exists.

A window opens in three steps: «Select a flow» (with a search box), then «Select items to import» — «Import entire flow ""» or «or select individual items» by ticking them in the tree — and finally «Confirm import», with «Import selected».

⚠️ Copy and link are not the same thing

In the second step you choose how to import:

• «Copy» — «Creates an independent copy. Changes to the source are not reflected.»
• «Link» — «Creates a live link. The structure stays synced — changes to the source are automatically reflected.»

Linking is handy for the sections that recur identical everywhere — anti-money-laundering, privacy — because they’re corrected in one place only. But it also means that a change made elsewhere comes in here without you seeing it: linked elements carry the «Linked» mark in the structure, and on the template’s card a link counter appears — a click opens it — which is worth looking at before wondering why a flow changed by itself.
