Going faster with the keyboard

The full list is always to hand: in the bar above the list, on the right, there is a keyboard icon — hovering over it with the mouse opens the summary, without clicking.

The most useful ones:

• Rename — on Windows F2, on a Mac Enter.
• Select all — Ctrl+A (Mac: Cmd+A); deselect — Esc.
• Copy, Cut, Paste — Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V (Mac: Cmd). They work between different folders, like on your computer.
• Delete — Del.
• Folder above — Backspace (Mac: Cmd+up arrow).
• New folder — Shift+N.
• Upload files — Ctrl+U; upload a folder — Ctrl+Shift+U.

When they don’t work

If you are typing in a field — the search, a folder’s name — the keys are characters, not commands. Leave the field with Esc and they work again.

And some shortcuts depend on what you can do in there: in a read-only folder Del deletes nothing, and it is not the shortcut that is broken.
