Having documents sent to you by people without Kamzan

You need this when documents have to come in from someone with no access to Kamzan: a client, a supplier, a candidate.

To have documents sent in from outside:

  1. Right-click on the folder where they should end up.
  2. Hover over «Access and sharing» and choose «Share externally».
  3. In the «Sharing» window, stay on the «Public link» tab and open «Advanced options».
  4. Turn on «Document request mode».
  5. Press «Generate link», then «Copy link», and send it to whoever has to upload.

Whoever opens that link does not see the archive: they see only the upload area. They cannot browse, cannot download, cannot see what the others have sent.

Every time someone uploads, you get a notice.

A normal link lets people download. This one lets people upload, and shows nothing: they are opposite things, which is why they are two different switches.

Putting a check at the door

In the same «Advanced options» you can turn on «Email required» — or «Email + OTP», which also asks for a confirmation code. It is there so you know who sent what, which in a collection is almost always the point.

If the person is a colleague instead

Then you don’t need a link: there is «Request files», which has its own page and is handier — it keeps count of who has done it and who is missing.
