Creating a folder

To create a new folder:

Go into the folder you want it in (if you want it at the top level, stay where you are).
Click the blue «Add» button: it is top right, in the bar at the top of the page, next to the search box.
In the menu that opens, choose «New folder».
Type the name in the window that appears in the middle of the screen and confirm.

From the keyboard, without the menu: Shift + N.

Recreating a structure you already have

If every case, client or job always wants the same subfolders, don’t build them by hand each time.

To create the whole scaffold of subfolders in one go:

Right-click on an empty spot in the list, below the last row.
Choose «New folder from template».
In the window that opens, pick the template: you see a tree preview before confirming.

To save a well-organised folder as a template:

Right-click on the folder.
Hover over «Folder tools» — it has an arrow on the right and opens a submenu.
Choose «Save as structure template». It saves only the folders, never the files inside.

The same «Folder tools» submenu holds two more entries that look alike:

«Apply structure template» adds a template’s scaffold inside a folder that already exists;
«Clone structure» copies that folder’s scaffold somewhere else, without going through a template: handy once, but nothing is saved for next time.

«Duplicate» is a different thing again: it sits in the right-click menu without entering any submenu, and makes a copy of the folder with its contents, right where it is.

If the button isn’t there

You need the «Create folders» permission on the folder you are in. To see what you have, click the «Your access» chip in the bar above the list, on the left: a window opens with your permissions on that folder. If they are not enough, ask whoever manages access to the folder.
