kDesk guide
Organisations or products: who a mailbox answers for
The area says who works a ticket; the organisation says for whom: the Kamzan product, Jinni’s business, a brand you support. Every email mailbox answers for one organisation, and the ticket carries it from the moment it is born. If you give support for one thing only, one is enough.
In the «Centro di controllo», entry «Caselle e aree», tab «Organisations or products».
Creating one
«New organisation» top right: «Name» and «Colour». In the list every organisation shows how many «Mailboxes», how many «Tickets» and how many «People».
The mailboxes that answer for it
In the card, the «Mailboxes answering for this organisation» block:
- «Connect a mailbox» — chooses among those that do not answer for anybody yet. If they are all taken, the page says so: you create a new mailbox, or detach one from its own.
- «Create mailbox» — opens the mailbox form already linked to this organisation (the field is not asked).
- «Unlink» next to a mailbox — frees it; tickets already born stay where they are.
The people
«Who works on it» with «Add person» and «Remove». It is a list: today it does not hide anything from anybody yet — ticket visibility is decided by the area. It serves one purpose though: whoever opens kDesk and reads «You are not linked to any organisation yet» sees no ticket until an administrator adds them here.
Deleting
«Delete organisation»: tickets already born do not move, they stay with the reference to an organisation that no longer exists. Detach the mailboxes first.
