Forms: a public page for opening tickets

A form is the second way in, next to the email mailbox: a public page with the fields you decide. Whoever fills it in opens a ticket already in the right area, without writing an email. In the «Centro di controllo», entry «Caselle e aree», tab «Forms».

Creating a form

«New form» top right opens the window in three blocks:

  • «What it is»«Name» and «Description (shown to whoever fills it)».
  • «What it asks» — the fields. Name, email address and subject are always there: without them one cannot reply. With «Add field» you add the rest: for each the «Question», the type — «Short text», «Long text», «Email», «Phone», «Number», «Date», «Choice» (with the «Choices, one per line»), «Checkbox» — and the «Required» checkbox. «Move up» / «Move down» for the order.
  • «Where it lands»«Area», «Category» and «Mailbox for replies»: from which address your replies to whoever filled it in will go out.

In the list every form has its «Public address» with «Copy link» and «Open». It works on the website, in the email signature, in a QR code. Whoever opens it finds the fields, can attach files and put somebody in copy; having pressed «Send request» they read «Request received» and the ticket is already in your list, with channel «Web».

Switching a form off

The «Status»«Active» / «Off» — is changed from the form’s card. Off, the public address answers that the form is not available; tickets already arrived stay where they are. The same goes for «Delete».
