Customers: who wrote to us
«Clients», in the left menu, is the other side of the work: not the tickets but who is on the other end. It is not an address book to fill in: it fills itself with whoever has written at least once.
The list
At the top two tabs: «Companies» (grouped by the address domain) and «People». The «Search by name or address…» box filters the list. Every row says how many tickets it has, how many «Open» and when the «Last contact» was.
A customer’s card
Clicking a row opens the card, with the tabs:
- «Overview» — the numbers: «Tickets in total», «Open», «First contact», «Last contact», «Time to close (avg)» and the «By status» breakdown. Below, the «Latest tickets».
- «Tickets» — all theirs, with the link «See all their tickets in the list» that opens the list already filtered.
- «People» — only for a company: who writes from that domain.
- «In the registry» — whether this person or company is in the ecosystem’s shared registry (the same as Klokka and Kore), with the data there is: «Phone», «City», «VAT no.», «Website».
You reach the same card from the ticket too: in «Details» the name of whoever wrote is a link.
Adding to the registry
If in «In the registry» you read that it is not there, there is the «Add to the registry» button: fill in «Company name» (or «First and last name» for a person) and confirm. kDesk does not do it on its own, on purpose: a mailbox receives strangers too, and the registry is what the other products work on. You decide, when that customer is a customer.
The «Known» badge
In the ticket list, next to the requester, «Known» means they are in the registry or have already written. The sender filter («Known» / «Unknown») uses the same criterion.
