Searching in your own words (AI search)

To search in your own words you need to:

1. On the «Contacts» page, click the sparkle icon at the top right, next to «New contact» (tooltip «AI Search…»). The button turns blue and under the toolbar a new field appears.
2. Write the question as you would say it out loud — the field suggests «E.g.: find all contacts from London» — and press Enter or the magnifier next to it.
3. The results appear below, as a table, with how many they are at the top. If none matches you read «No contact matches your search.».

A second click on the sparkle closes the field and goes back to the normal list.

It is for when the normal search is not enough because what you are looking for is not a word in the name but a condition: a city, a company, a role, a category.

What the AI sees

⚠️ Not your contacts. The AI receives only the structure of the archive and your question, and works out the search to run from them: as the settings page says, «Search contacts using natural language. The AI generates an SQL query without ever accessing personal data.» Names, emails and numbers do not go out.

If you cannot find it

• On a phone it is not there: in the «Control centre», under «Settings» → «AI search», you read «AI Search available on desktop only». A wide screen is needed to read the results.
• If it is missing on a computer too, it is a privilege of the user typology (the one called Ricerca AI in user management). Ask whoever manages Kontacts users.
• If the field is there but the search answers with an error, it may be that the company has not configured an AI model: that choice is made in Kamzan Account, not here.
