Files guide
Keeping an eye on what you use every day
The board is your worktable: you open it from «My board», in the left-hand menu.
To pin something to it:
- Right-click on the file or folder.
- Hover over «Labels and fields» — it has an arrow on the right.
- Choose «Pin to the board».
Board or favourites?
They look like the same thing and they are not:
- «Favorites» (a tab inside «Collections», in the left-hand menu) is a list: the folders you always go into. You add to it with the star on the row.
- The board is a table: you can put links and notes on it too, and group them. It is made for something you are doing — a case in progress, this week’s delivery — not for the permanent order of the archive.
Put another way: favourites say where I go often, the board says what I am working on right now.
It is yours
What you put on it is seen by you. If you have the privilege, you can share a container of the board with someone — useful when two people follow the same thing.
⚠️ Pinning does not copy the file: it is a reference. If the original is moved or binned, you will not find it from the board any more — and it is not the board that lost it.
