kDesk guide
The first screen of kDesk
Open kDesk and you are in the ticket list: the customers’ requests, one per row, with subject, who wrote, status and who it is assigned to.
The entries in the left menu
- «Tickets» — the list of every ticket you can see. If there is more than one email mailbox, the entry becomes «All tickets» and below it, in the «Mailboxes» group, there is one entry per mailbox: click it to see only the tickets that arrived at that address.
- «Clients» — whoever has written at least once: companies and people, with their tickets. It fills itself, there is nothing to type in.
- «Centro di controllo», at the bottom of the menu — settings, mailboxes, areas, support documents and user management. It opens as a window in the centre, with a list on the left.
Four ways of looking at the same tickets
At the top of the page, on the right, the «View» group has four buttons:
- «List» — the table, with search and filters.
- «Board» — one column per status, tickets as cards you can drag.
- «Summary» — today’s numbers: open, arrived, closed, stalled.
- «Trend» — how many arrive and how many get closed, day by day.
They are the same menu entry, not different pages: switching view keeps the mailbox filters.
The «New Ticket» button
Top right, above the list. For when the request did not come by email — a phone call, someone at the counter — and you still want a ticket. See Opening a ticket by hand.
If the list is empty
It can mean three different things, and the page tells you which:
- No email mailbox connected — tickets come in through mailboxes, and there is none yet. An administrator creates one from the Control Centre, entry «Caselle e aree».
- «You are not linked to any organisation yet» — tickets are split by organisation or product, and you are not in any yet. It is not a fault: ask an administrator to add you.
- «No tickets found» — the filters at the top are hiding everything. «Clear filters», to the right of the filter bar, removes them all at once.
