The first screen

When you open Klokka you land on the «Dashboard»: the first item in the left-hand menu. It is a set of tiles — the «Hours summary» (today, week, month, year), the «Weekly chart» with each day’s hours, the «Today’s agenda», the «Open tasks», the «Week entries». With «Customize», top right, you choose which tiles to keep and in what order.

How the screen is laid out

• The left-hand menu has only a few items: «Dashboard», «Agenda», «Time entries», «Catalog», «Management» (which ones you see depends on what you are allowed to do). Anyone with an hour budget, or responsible for projects, also finds «My projects» at the top.
• At the top of the menu, above «Dashboard», sits the «Start timer» button. While the timer runs, the elapsed time takes its place: click it to stop.
• The tabs at the top of the page: each menu item is a section holding several pages, and those pages are the tabs that appear at the top when you enter it. «Time entries», for instance, has «Time entries», «Weekly hours», «Calendar», «Hours worked», «Reports».
• «Control centre», at the bottom of the left-hand menu: opens a window with settings, notifications, requests, user management — everything that is not tracking time.
• At the bottom of the left-hand menu, under «Control centre»: the row of icons with the notifications bell and your avatar (on a phone they sit at the top right).

On a phone: the left-hand menu becomes a bar at the bottom — «Dashboard», «Agenda», the timer button in the middle, «Time entries», and «Catalog» for those who manage it — and the section tabs sit in a scrollable row under the title. The «Control centre» is in the menu that opens from the three lines at the top right.

If it is empty

«No entries today» means exactly that: you have not tracked anything yet. Nothing is broken — start from «Start timer» at the top of the menu, or from «Time entries» → «Create» to enter hours by hand.

If you cannot see it

Some organisations keep the Dashboard switched off and open the list of entries directly. That is a choice, not a problem.
