The first screen of Kalendo

Kalendo opens on the calendar grid. In the left-hand menu there are three items — «Calendar», «Bookings», «Polls» — and below them a mini-calendar of the month: a click on a day takes the grid to that day. At the bottom of the menu there is «Control centre»: settings, notifications, preferences and, for administrators, user management all live in there.

The top bar

• On the left, the tabs that change the view: «Month», «Week», «Work week», «7 days», «Day», «Agenda». The last one is the list view: appointments one under the other, no grid — the handiest for “what do I have today”.
• In the middle, the «Search events…» field.
• On the right, the «Calendars» button with the number of calendars switched on: calendars are managed from here (see below).

Under the bar, on the left, the arrows to go to the previous and next period, the name of the period and the «Today» button, which always brings you back to today, wherever you have moved.

Switching a calendar on and off

Click «Calendars» at the top right: a panel opens from the right edge with the list. Every calendar has a checkbox: untick it and its events disappear from the grid — they stay where they are, it is only the view that gets lighter. A click on the calendar’s name shows that one only. In the panel the calendars are in three groups: yours, «External calendars» (Google and Microsoft) and «Shared with me».

On every row, the three dots on the right open the calendar’s menu: «Edit», «Share», «Import .ics», «CalDAV URL», «Delete» — each has its own help page.

If a menu item is missing

«Bookings» and «Polls» only appear if your user typology has the capability: it is not a fault, see the dedicated pages.

On a phone: the left-hand menu becomes the bar at the bottom — «Calendar», «Bookings», the + in the middle that creates an event, «Polls», «Search». At the top there is the month with an arrow (opens the month picker), «Today» and the «Calendars» button to switch calendars on and off. The view is changed from the dropdown above the grid.
