Creating an event

Click on the grid on the day and at the time you need: next to where you clicked a small window opens with the cursor already in the «Event name» field. That is all it takes: write the title and at the bottom right click «Create». The event appears in the grid at once.

In the week and day views you can also drag on the grid from the start time to the end time: the small window opens with the times already set.

On a phone: the + in the middle of the bottom bar opens the same window full screen.

What is in the small window

Every row is a piece of the event; clicking it opens it for editing:

  • The calendar (with the coloured dot) and, underneath, the reminder. One click and you choose which calendar it goes into, the topic and the reminders.
  • Date and time. Clicking shows the start and end fields, the «All day» checkbox and the repeat dropdown (from «Does not repeat» onwards).
  • «Add guests», «Add videoconference», «Add location» (a room, an address or a link), «Add description» — whoever receives the invitation reads it.
  • «Link to client, project and activity», for those who track hours.

«All day» removes the times: the event sits at the top of the day. For something lasting several days, make it all-day and move the end date — no need to repeat it.

The big window

At the bottom of the small window, «More options» turns it into the full-screen «New event» window, with every field visible at once: «Title», «Start» and «Duration» (30 minutes, an hour… or «Custom…» to set the «End»), «Location», «Attendees» with «Find a time» and «Guest permissions», «Reminders». It is the same thing, only spread out; «Compact view» at the top right goes back to the small window.

Which calendar it goes into

The one you see in the first row of the small window: it starts from your «Default calendar» (chosen in the Control centre → Settings → «General») and you change it with a click on the row.
