Syncing with Google Calendar or Outlook

To connect an external calendar you need to:

1. Open the «Control centre» (at the bottom of the left-hand menu) → «Settings» → «External calendars» tab.
2. For Google, click «Connect Google account»; for Outlook or Exchange, «Connect Microsoft account». That provider’s sign-in page opens: you sign in and give consent — you give access to them, not to Kalendo.
3. Back in Kalendo, under the account the list of its calendars appears: for each one you want to see here, «Enable sync».

With «Disable sync» you stop one without disconnecting the account; «Connect another account» adds a second account of the same provider.

The synced calendars then appear in the «Calendars» panel (top right), in the «External calendars» group, with the «Sync all» button next to it.

In which direction

For every activated calendar there is «Sync direction»:

• «Bidirectional» — what you write here appears there, and vice versa.
• «From Google only» / «From Microsoft only» — here you see what is outside, but Kalendo does not touch the external calendar. The prudent choice if you do not trust it yet.
• «To Google only» / «To Microsoft only» — the opposite.

If something is off

• Duplicate events: almost always the calendar is connected twice, or the same event arrives both from the sync and from a file imported by hand. Check the list in the «External calendars» tab.
• It does not update: «Sync now» forces the round at once, instead of waiting for the automatic one. Next to it you find «Last sync», which says when it last happened.
• To detach everything: «Disconnect account».
• If you read «Sync is not available on this environment: OAuth credentials are not configured.» it is not your problem: that connection is not configured on this installation.

If you cannot find the tab

Connecting Google and connecting Microsoft are two distinct capabilities of the user typology («Sincronizzazione Google Calendar» and «Sincronizzazione Microsoft Calendar»): you can have one without the other, and without either the «External calendars» tab does not appear. Ask whoever manages Kalendo users.
