Klokka guide
Working hours and rounding
Where the hours target comes from
From the «Working hours» set for your organisation: «Work start», «Work end», the lunch break, and the «Working days» of the week, with the daily hours for «Full-time» and «Part-time» staff. From there Klokka works out how many hours it expects from you each day, and so the balance you see in «Hours worked» and on the attendance sheet.
An administrator finds it in the «Control centre» (the button at the bottom of the left-hand menu) → «Settings» → «General» tab → «Working hours».
If you work part-time or on your own schedule, your personal setting wins over the general one: it sits on your user page — Control centre → «User management» → click on your name → «Contract type» and hours per day. If the balance looks wrong, that is nearly always what needs correcting, not the entries: talk to whoever manages Klokka.
Why the timer saved 09:00 instead of 09:02
Because «Round time to 5 minutes» is on: start and end times are moved to the nearest multiple of five. A timer from 09:02 to 09:54 becomes 09:00 → 09:55.
It is not an error and it is deliberate: it avoids timesheets full of numbers like “1 hour, 47 minutes and 12 seconds”, which nobody reads and which are not invoiced to the client anyway.
An administrator decides it, for everyone: Control centre → «Settings» → «General» tab → «Recording». If your organisation keeps it off, the minutes stay as they really were.
