The screen before entering

Before the room there is «Get ready to join»: in the middle you see yourself in preview, and you sort everything out calmly.

Under the preview there are the microphone button («Unmute microphone» / «Mute microphone») and the camera button («Turn on camera» / «Turn off camera»); the small arrow next to the camera opens «Video effects», for background and blur. Further down the two dropdowns «Select camera» and «Select microphone». If you are a guest, you are asked for «First name» and «Last name»; otherwise you read «Joining as ».

When you are ready: «Join meeting», the big button at the bottom.

If you have to wait

• «Waiting for approval from the organizer…» — the meeting has the waiting room: someone has to let you in. Below there is «Notify the organizer»: «Still no one letting you in? Send a heads-up to whoever is hosting the meeting.» When it goes out you read «Organizer notified».
• «The meeting hasn’t started yet. You can join when the host enters.» — the room is not open yet, and the button at the bottom says «Waiting for the host to open the room…». Meanwhile you prepare everything («Meanwhile you can set up your camera, microphone, background and name: you’ll join with one click as soon as the room opens.»); at the right moment the «The room is open — you can join now.» banner appears, with a sound and a notification, and the button becomes «Join now».

If you cannot get in

• The «Enter meeting password» field appears — the meeting is protected: the organiser gives you the password.
• «Guest access is not enabled for this meeting» — you need an account in the same organisation.
• «The organizer denied your request» — you were not admitted.
• «This meeting has ended» or «Meeting not found» — the link no longer leads anywhere.
