Meetings that repeat
In the first step of creation, «Information», switch on «Add to calendar»: only then, under «When» and «Duration», the «Repeats» dropdown appears — «Never», «Every day», «Every week», «Every month», «Every year», or «Custom» for cases like “every two weeks on Tuesday”. The recurrence lives in the calendar, which is why without a calendar it is not there.
⚠️ The choice that decides whether the link stays the same
As soon as you pick a repetition, «Recurrence type» appears below, and they are two different worlds:
- «Single room (same link for all occurrences)» — one link, always valid. It is what the weekly team meeting needs: whoever saves it once no longer has to look for it.
- «Separate meetings (different link for each occurrence)» — each date is a meeting of its own. It is for when the occurrences have different participants or materials, and you want to keep recordings and attendance separate.
If you ever found that “the link changes every time”, it was the second one. In the list the meetings of a series have the recurrence label next to the title.
The custom recurrence
Choosing «Custom» opens the «Custom recurrence» window: «Frequency», «Repeats every» (with the days of the week or the day of the month), and when it ends — «No end date», «End after» a number of «events», or «End by» a date. At the bottom, under «Example:», the rule written in words: worth rereading before «Confirm».
⚠️ If you open «Edit» on a meeting born from a calendar event, instead of the dropdown you read «Recurrence managed from the calendar»: the rule is changed in Kalendo, not here.
