Who uses Kontacts and what they can do

«User management» is an item of the «Control centre» (the button at the bottom of the left-hand menu) and only administrators see it. It has two tabs at the top: «Users» — who uses Kontacts, each with their own typology — and «User types» — what every typology can do, that is its capabilities.

⚠️ People are not born here

They are created in Kamzan Account: the account is one for all products. From Kontacts you decide what they do inside Kontacts, not whether the person exists.

What gets switched on and off

In the «User types» tab, every typology has the list of capabilities with a switch each. The personal address book («Rubrica») is always there — that one is taken from nobody. Around it you decide:

• «Crea piu’ rubriche» — without it, the «Address Books» item does not appear in the menu.
• «Condivisione rubriche» — the «Share» icon on one’s own address books.
• «Vedi rubriche condivise tenant» — seeing the ones others share.
• «CardDAV (client esterni)» — connecting phone and Thunderbird.
• «Import vCard/CSV» — the «Import contacts» icon.
• «Ricerca AI» — the sparkle at the top right.
• «Esportazione massiva» — the «Download address book (.vcf)» icon.

⚠️ The last one is kept separate on purpose: taking the whole address book away in a file is a different gesture from consulting it, and in many companies it is given to few people.

When a colleague “cannot find” something

Before looking for a fault, look here: almost always the item is not there because the capability of their typology is off. In the «Users» tab you see each person’s typology and change it from there.

Removing access

Removing a person from Kontacts does not delete their Kamzan account and does not delete their contacts: it takes this product away from them.
