Folders
Folders sit in the left-hand menu, under the «Folders» item.
To create one: the + next to «Folders» («New folder»). A window opens with the «Name» and the «Colour», which helps you recognise it at once; «Create». If you have none yet, the menu also has «Create your first folder».
The actions on a folder: hovering over its name shows the three dots («Folder actions»), with «Rename», «New subfolder», «Move to» (to nest it under another, or «Top level» to pull it out), the «Colour» and «Delete». Folders can have a single level of subfolders.
Moving a note
From the open note: the three dots at the top right of the pane → «Move to». The window opens with the list of folders and the «Search a folder…» field; with «No folder» you take it out of all of them, with «Create a new folder» you make one on the fly («Create and move»).
With several notes selected, the same command is the «Move to» icon in the bar above the list. The right click on a note in the list also has «Move to».
⚠️ Deleting a folder does not delete the notes
The «Delete folder» confirmation tells you: the notes inside are not lost, they go back to the root of the list, and any subfolders with them. Worth knowing before hesitating.
Folders linked to a customer
A folder can be linked to a customer or a project. If you move a note in there, the note inherits that link — the «You are moving the note» window tells you first, with the «Move» button. See the page on links.
