Finding a note again

The «Search notes…» field is in the middle of the top bar: it searches the title and text of all notes as you type, and the list in the middle narrows (at the top you read how many results). The x in the field («Clear the search») clears everything.

When a word is not enough

The icon on the right of the field opens «Advanced search», a panel with the questions the simple search cannot answer, split into «What it contains» and «Whose»:

• «To-dos» — only notes containing a checklist.
• «Images», «With audio» — the ones with something inside.
• «Favourites only», «Pinned only», «Only those shared with me».
• «Where I was mentioned» — when you were called in someone else’s note.
• «Created from» / «Created until» and «Modified from» / «Modified until» to narrow the period.

With «Clear filters» you start again; «Done» closes the panel keeping the filters.

Saving a search you will redo

If the same search is often needed, at the bottom of the panel «Save as smart folder»: give it a name and it appears in the left-hand menu under «Smart folders», ready to reopen with a click. The x next to the name deletes it («Delete the smart folder»).

⚠️ It is not a container: the confirmation says so, “a smart folder does not contain the notes, it finds them”. Deleting it touches no note.
