The bin

To bin a note: open it, then the three dots at the top right of the pane («Note actions») → «Move to bin», at the bottom of the menu. The confirmation says «The note stays recoverable from the bin for the days set by the tenant.». The same command is in the right click menu on a note in the list, and in the multi-selection bar to do it in bulk.

To see what is inside: the «Trash» item at the bottom of the left-hand menu. At the top of the page it says how many days notes stay; every note shows how long it has left — « days left», or «Expires today». Past that period it disappears by itself; the number of days is decided by whoever administers Notika.

To take it back: the «Restore» button on the row.

To close early: the bin icon on the row («Delete permanently»). ⚠️ The confirmation warns that the note will be deleted forever and that the action cannot be undone; the red button is «Delete forever».

There is no “empty all” button: notes are deleted one at a time.

Something that is not there, on purpose

Notes are not transferred to another person. Notika is the personal notebook: when an account is closed, the notes go with it. What must outlive the person is saved to Files — see the dedicated page.
