Writing a note

Click «New» at the top right: the note opens in the right-hand pane. The first field is the «Title»; below it you write in the body, where you read «Write here. Use the checklist for to-dos.».

It saves itself

There is no Save button: as you write, at the top of the note pane «Saving…» appears and then «Saved» (with the time, if not just now). Hovering over it you read «Last save: » in full, so you always know where things stand.

The toolbar

It sits at the top of the note body, under the title («Formatting»). From the left:

  • the «Paragraph style» dropdown: «Body text», «Title», «Heading», «Subheading», «Quote»;
  • «Bold», «Italic», «Underline», «Strikethrough», «Highlight» (with the colour dropdown);
  • the lists: «Bulleted list», «Numbered list» and above all «Checklist» — the boxes to tick, which are the reason most notes exist;
  • «Code», «Link», «Image», «Table» (with the menu for rows and columns, which lights up when the cursor is inside a table);
  • at the far right «Search the note», «Tidy up with AI», «Undo» and «Redo».

With a right click on the text a menu opens with the things used most: «Copy», «Cut», «Add link», «Checklist», «Letter case» (on selected text), and — if enabled — «Tidy up with AI» and «Create activity in Agenda».

Searching inside a long note

The magnifier icon in the toolbar («Search the note») opens the «Search this note…» field: you move with «Previous» and «Next» without losing your place.

If you made a mistake

«Undo» and «Redo» at the end of the toolbar. For a whole note you want to keep but also change, in the note menu (the three dots at the top right of the pane, «Note actions») there is «Duplicate».
